Gary Bowyer - when do we judge?

Playing the way we are with poor player selection and tactics we could be down by Christmas

However with the team and formation he is employing i dont see too much optimism
10 games (30 points) to see how things pan out means a possibly wasted season
Christmas is definitely too late if his win % doesnt improve we could be bottom 4 by then
we need promotion THIS SEASON or we could be consigned to this league for a long time

 

I wonder if he is restricted by injuries but doesn't want to use it as an excuse. He said today he's easing Scannell back in, yet people were questioning why he was on the bench and not starting.

Some people need a reality check on where we are as a club. You don't win the league at the end of August, and you certainly don't after 2 games.

 

I still think it is the hangover from last season that is plaguing ppl’s memory. Most couldn’t quite believe we would get relegated last season, but it was obvious in August we were in trouble. Hopefully, he can start winning matches and the memories will fade.

 

And that's the bottom line the only way people will really start to get back on board is by seeing us win regularly until that happens it will be difficult to shake off the bitter disappointment of last season. Personally I don't think the issue is GB its the fact that some of the players still here from last season are simply not good enough

 

Give Gary the cash to do business and judge next season. I want promotion but steady the ship and finish top 10 will please a lot of supporters. People calling for Gary's head have never played or managed a team in my opinion.

 

Top ten? In the bottom division of the football league? Next we'll be hoping to finish one above relegation and call it a good season. Bollocks to that. We don't at least hit the playoffs and i would question our managers credentials.

 

I shall be far from happy with 10th. Play offs must be our minimum goal this season.

So, we can make judgements last August that we were in trouble, but anyone suggesting the same this summer gets shot down? Many of us are saying this squad will struggle, but when we say anything, we are effectively told to pipe down and stop being negative.

People didn’t listen last summer and it seems the same folk are sticking their heads in the sand again

 

I’d hazard a guess that almost all of those defending Bowyer and calling for him to have time probably haven’t played or managed a team either!!!!
