Gary Bowyer - manager next season

Let's keep this in perspective, shall we ?
As a business, in a very competitive market - Yes it i results based. However, it is a small part of the greater entertainment industry .......... I for one go for the 'entertainment', and hope for a result - Not the other way around.

 

We need stability right now. Changing managers every month is a recipe for disaster.

GB knows who the spineless ones are by now and will have given that long list to JR and said clear that out.

Equally he will have a list of who he wants to bring in.

Lets hope that we get our business done quickly and get a proper pre season in.

 

Shouldn't be too difficult to beat last seasons clusterf**k of a pre-season.

 

just need to get Aaron McLean back to lead the line and we're sorted.

 

Used to watch him in the pre match shooting drills, I used to cringe with embarrassment he was terrible.

 

If we are in league 2, we need big strapping lads with loads of enthusiasm. We need quality in midfield, and a big and little un up front oh and a couple of quality wingers.

 

I don't give a shit what Huddersfield are and aren't doing or any other club for that matter. Bradford City winning promotion back to league 1 at the first attempt is the target...

And yes I know we have alot of happy clappers who just want to go to the pub watch a game and love failure. Sad really.

 

we all want us to, but we won't. no chance of getting rid of 10 contracted players who have failed all season to start with.

 

sometimes I think I've seen it all, then I log onto Bantam Talk and see someone hoping we're going to finish mid table in League fecking 2, because 'rome wasn't built in a day'

christ sake. we're a big club by League 1 and 2 standards, we have a massive ground, decent training facilities, a decent budget and you're hoping that the team getting relegated from the league above can just about avoid a relegation battle to non league.

holy crap. and then people wonder why we say City fans lack ambition.

 

Promotion must be the target next season, no two ways about it.

 

Are we though? The past 15 years and counting in Leagues 1 and 2 suggest we are somewhere near where we belong.

If it weren't for having the cheapest season tickets in the land, we would only be getting 6 or 7,000 a game, which is fairly average for League One standards when compared to other teams with normal pricing structures.

 

I agree, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we ended up mid table. All fans want to get promoted, but our club has been gutted in the last 2 years, and been replaced with a bunch of softies who don’t give a toss. For me, it is how much it is going to costto get rid. That will be down to Stefan, and it might be too much as well as providing a good competitive budget to gain promotion.

I agree, Mrs O ...... and no, we're not lauding mediocrity here. Just applying a sense of realism.

 

If you’re gonna use an example at least use on thats compatible. Huddersfield winning the premier league is just a teeny weeny bit different to Bradford winning division two.

 

I bet they are not thinking we will consolidate in the championship for years. They will be looking to challenge for the topof the championship. Why should we not expect the same from our club?

 

A few Huddersfield fans I know have stated they would be happy to stay up next season.

You wouldn't play O'Connor or Hudson-Odi again?

 

It makes sense to keep Gary Bowyer on, he's had a dozen or so games to run his eye over our players (not the loans) so he will be aware of the their capabilities and can then make a priorty list of potencial players require for next season.
Why didn't we give him a contract be that a 2 year deal or a 1 year rolling contract instead of one till the end of the current season.
