Width of the Post- and old fans view

I think that we have left the cosiness and connect through not having local owners, as we have throughout the past. From a fans perspective, the present custodians may well have landed from outer space..it follows that there will likely be no connect in their tenure, as existed previously. Their fastest way to acceptance is by bringing respect and success to our Club and by not insulting the loyalty and dedication of a sizeable fan base by ill informed judgements..the very ones that have alienated them and brought us to where we are right here right now..

 

I don’t know, but it sounds very much like Bronco to me!

 

And possibly about 30% of our fan base @vladimir . We just never found the time, or put in the effort to make our feelings so public. Yet there again, I've not really felt the need to - Even when walking in Town during the week, I can catch the eye of a complete stranger, and a quick 'nod' of acknowledgement shows we each have this undying affection for 'our' Club.
The author of the article has about 10 years on me ........ But that pails into insignificance, as I can reflect upon, and share almost the whole 'experience' of his article.
I sense that when you can feel this way, then you really are a fan.

My daughter took her family (and friends !! 20 ?) down to Skeggy this Summer. One day they visited 'Pleasure Island', and two young girls approached McKenzie, who was sporting a City top. One asked if City were going to have another famous Cup run ? They were from Lincoln !! So, it's a small and wonderful world, out there.

 

Especially the reminiscence about the 1911 cup final..

 

Thats stops people who are dodgy running clubs. The current owners tick all boxes for running a club. Just because you may not like what they do, doesn't stop them being fit and proper.

 

Thanks for that Onside. A good read and a good reminder at just what our dear leaders have thrown out of the window. Hope they can now do something honourable.

 

Rupp and Rahic are nothing.

They're an irrelevant footnote, and this club will endure long after these two have gone.

I think that article sums up my feelings perfectly. I've been going since 1983 and have always looked forward to Saturdays during the football season. My usual routine is to get up, have a bacon sandwich while planning what time to set off, etc.

Last Saturday I got up, still had my bacon sandwich but was thinking can I be arsed with the drive into Bradford for the game? I decided not to bother so stayed at home and listened on the radio.

What have these bastards done?

 

I didnt buy a season ticket this year, for me + 3

4 season ticket sales gone, and i encouraged others not too.

I think he actually means to keep his promise to take a back seat but after a while will not actually be able to so. I don't think there are many spotless leopards about so feel that even though David is here now, our situation is precarious and will be so as long as Edin is here. Edin, I think you are a wonderful guy but please go back home.

 

I dont know Dave all that well but good friends with his 'little bro' Chris, and they certainly are proper City fans
