There is absolutely no doubt that Cook is not in the shape he was at the beginning of last season when he thought his position was under threat.he can and will hopefully catch up. Needs a goal for his confidence to return because he looked way of it against Crewe

I was surprised he picked Ridhalge over Richards who I thought looked good from what we have seen. Similar to last year I think Bola would have done well given a few games but Hughes likes to go back to the experienced pros he trusts

the only thing that can save him is if Mullin, who is back in light training as we speak, hits the ground running after his punctured lung. He’s entitled to take a while to get back to 100% though. 14 conceded in the league already is horrendous. It goes deeper than the keeper. Mark Howard is a lump himself and past his best even though Foster’s packed it in.

For me, the defender took out the attacker with no effort to play the ball. He just barged into him. It was silly and frankly stupid because all he needed to do was keep alongside him, keep pushing him to the corner and possibly conceded a throw in or corner at worst.

Maybe that's how they defend in the national league but he gave the ref a decision to make and he obviously saw it as I did - a barge with no effort to play the ball.

 

Mate, I'm happy for us to be the worst if it means we win/get three points. Happy days.

For those who haven't seen it...

 

Weird that they use all these metrics and a whole fitness team then when they could just, er, look.

Why not offer your services and save the club a load of cash by ditching that sports science mumbo jumbo.

 

Like the one in the Prem over the weekend, blatant as you like and nothing given after a review!!

 

My eyes also tell me that the fitness team ain't done such a great job this year with players out on their arses after 65-70 mins.

All IMO of course.

Do you think Cook's and some of the other members of the squads fitness is as it could or should be then?
