Well done folks!! Nice to see those foreigners bite the dust. :p
Maybe you'll get a tie against the mighty Blues (Carlisle).............then again maybe not, we're already out. ahh well normal service resumes!!
And with The Dog Botherer's getting beat in the last round and L**d's getting knocked out tonight, it leaves your good selves to fly the Yorkshire flag, up the Bantams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    We are home now.
Those slagging off Osadebe again can wind their necks in.
General opinion from most in our group and they aren't fans of his, was that he was one of our better performers last night.
As I've posted earlier, Smallwood superb.
Halliday reminding us why Oyegoke should be no where near the first 11.
    Kelly and Stubbs good.
Smith and Walker grafted hard up top.
Platt and Pattison not at their best.
Pointon when he came on was excellent, only one mistake from the youngster.
Wilson showed balls stepping up on his debut in the pens.
All in all a good performance.
We created enough chances to win in 90 mins and I don't agree with Parkies assessment that they were the better team who should have won 4-1.
I think they weren't all that and maybe he knows that.

    It's only a cup game.

We only got 5k at home to Championship sides last season in the same competition.

1k away on a Tuesday night in a 2nd round is fantastic and beyond expectation IMO

Bravo to players and management for the result tonight. Great to progress further.

What’s equally as pleasing is it sounds as though the performance was much improved, especially in the first half. Keen to hear the opinions of those who were there on how we played.

“Outstanding” was the description used on the radio. First time that’s been used this season. Whether it’s OTT or not, I’ll take it…..

Happy to hear Smith and Pointon played well. I like the look of Smith, weve long missed someone who runs in behind and prevents us been too one-dimensional.

Wrexham fan here been following the bantams since Mark Hughes got the managers job. Been a Wrexham fan for many years and the trials and tribulations the club has had to go through is startling 10 years ago to this very day the fans had to raise £100.000 in a day otherwise we would cease to exist, fans put their deeds to their homes up weddings cancelled and that money went into the pot, kids turning up with their piggy banks and we did it. The proudest moment as a fan ever. Even more than having Hollywood owners. The club has now hit paydirt the sky's the limit at the moment our turnover for this coming season is predicted to be £20 million plus. I'm old enough to remember when we played the park avenue at the racecourse. I've never been to Bradford but I will make an effort to get to your place for the league game your support for your club is outstanding more than anyone else in league two. I can't see our owners stopping think some major signings will be through the doors before the window closes. Good luck for the season and let's hope we meet in league one next season.

Well well well…!!! You’ve got to take your hat off to the lads after that. We all thought we were getting battered. Well done Hughes, and to the lads, top job!

My older daughter lives in San Francisco. She and her husband are huge sports fans and she is confident that the game will be shown live in the USA.
She watches all City League games via I-Follow with an annual pass (gets up at 8.00 a.m. on a Saturday!). So a long distance supporter.

Ballsy from Wilson in his first match. Fair play to him putting his hand up to take one and very pleased he scored. Great confidence booster for him.

Just traveling back - great team performance - Halliday MOM for me. Pointon looked decent when he came on. Osadebe is not good enough to get in a team that has aspirations of promotion!

onto Mansfield Saturday - win there and we gain momentum.

Just watched the highlights and read some comments from those who were at the game:

It’s a really good penalty save from Lewis. Matched by the one from the corner, down low saved with his legs.

Slightly soft penalty for ours but can see why it’s given. More encouraged by the good movement and link up of Smith and Walker.

Confident penalty from Smith, so early on and at their end.

Smiths pace down the right ti get away from the defender for the 1:1 reminds me of a certain Nahki Wells……..HOW LONG HAVE WE WAITED TO HAVE THIS ASSET IN OUR SQUAD??? Excited by him for this season

Halliday - as posted in recent weeks, he just has to be starting games right. Always Mr Reliable and believe he can adapt to a wing back. I feel much more confident with him in the XI. Doesn’t mean Oyegoke can’t be important for us, but for now just has to be Halliday.

Smallwood and Osadebe - happy to hear they had good games. They still need many more to regain trust of some us (me included), but credit where it’s due and support from me to keep going.
Osadebe looks as though he should have buried that chance.

Hughes and management team. Bravo!! You needed to give us a performance and indication we can use the squad and adapt to missing players. Sounds like you did that, and more by getting the result tonight against a very decent competitor for us this season. The psychological benefits of the result, but more so the performance, will be a huge positive step if we follow up with the same on the weekend. Credit where it’s due, we needed the performance and sounds like you prepared and set us up to bring it.

This game was hopefully a bit of a wake up call to all those who had "World-Conquerors" Wrexham down as walking our league before a ball was kicked

Yes they piled on the pressure in the second half, but what do you expect from a Parky team losing at home! For all the so-called quality in their side, they looked very disjointed and devoid of ideas and cohesion for large periods

We had more possession and more shots on target. If it wasn't for that lump Boyle (who also scored the equaliser) winning everything in defence we would've been out of sight. They weren't anything to be afraid of, and long may it continue

I'm not going to single out any players for special praise, as they all had their parts to play throughout the evening

Such a great feeling driving home after such a morale-boosting win, even if the bastard M62 was shut :confounded:

Well done the boys and glad my lad talked me into it:laughing:

For me it’s lack of service that’s held him back.

He had good chances at Stockport (but lack of fitness didn’t cause him to miss them) but have we really created much else for him?

He’s still our best player and once he gets his first the rest will soon follow. He has assisted a few already too. It’s not all been bad.

Hi All, Wrexham fan here. I've been watching the town since 91. Been a really long time since we played each other - remember that wonder goal at your place with his first touch when you got a 2-1 win in our relegation season! Also remember the Carling cup game between us in 2002, you took the lead in the 83rd (I think without checking) and we got 2 very late goals to progress to the 2nd round to face Everton at home.

If there is info you may want to know about - let me know. Since the takeover, the club has sky rocketed with demand for tickets and sadly as a 3 sided ground we cannot meet demand. So as the stand behind the goal is the typical 'away end' for years and years before the kop was deemed unsafe, away fans have been housed in the upper (and now lower) tier of the Yale stand. You will only get around 1100 or so. In future, we would give the stand behind the goal to away fans for a better allocation, but not for a couple of years or so yet.

If driving to the ground, from Bradford, M62, M6, M56, A55, A483 then get off a jct 5, and the ground is 30 seconds from the A483, and very visible from the roundabout - especially from getting a floodlight upgrade which is even taller than our old ones.

Parking - anywhere surrounding the ground in side streets - I'd avoid. There is a big issue with street parking round the ground and seems like police will be clamping down on dodgy parking/residents only parking. Crispin lane is usually full around 1.5 hours before the game, as this is used during the day for people who work in the city centre. We do have the old astro turf pitch now turned carpark next door to the Yale stand, and this is £5 per car, but again, this gets pretty full quite quickly. I'd avoid the Sainsburys car park as well, but the last I heard is that they may now allow parking for a small fee for the football - don't quote me on that - i'm lucky as I only live a 10 minute walk to the ground from my house.

Food/Drink - Walsall were not given a designated pub to go to, and i'd imagine it's because we have had some right issues with them lot in years gone by which certainly didn't go down well with the local plod. In the meeting last week, they had to go back across the border to Whitchurch and that ended in tears for a poor young woman having her face smashed in! However, with our cup tie coming up soon, think you'd be fine. There is a new bar in the uni right across the entrance to the away end, but not sure on how they take away fans as this was only opened for the new season. We have the Maesgwyn next door to the Shell garage across the road from the ground, they allow away fans and the food there is really good. If you come early enough, town centre is about a 10 min walk and plenty of different pubs including Weatherspoons where you would be allowed in.

I wouldn't be surprised if the home end sells out - as the people who are not fortunate to have season tickets can't get a ticket, so this along with the EFL Trophy would be their only opportunity.

Team wise - Ben Foster has retired after conceding 13 goals in 4 games and admitted 5 should have been saved so he's recognised he's too old. Parky still doesn't know his best 11, and after a pretty woeful preseason trip to US, noone is fully match fit to last 90 minutes which is utter crap!

Hoping our keeper situation gets solved, and Mullin is still injured but rumoured to come back to training this week. We have not spent as much as what people think, only players signed for actual transfer fees are Hayden, Tom O Connor, Tozer, McClean, Palmer, Barnett, Mendy since the takeover, the rest have been nominal or free. Best player for us, aside from Mullin, is Elliott Lee. Signed on a free last summer from Luton after spells with Charlton and Oxford, hes arguably the best technical player i've seen ever in a Wrexham shirt. Defence wise, absolute shambles. Run at us, and have a shot, you would usually score. Think we have faced something like 18 shots this season (exc the Wigan cup game) and 13 have gone in. Horrendous!

My god we look a weaker team and squad than last season.

    Mid table squad at best.
