Watch the contact below the waist. the centre half comes across with intention of stretching his leg to play the ball away from our player. Our player is now slightly ahead and in between the ball and their defender, as the defender attempts to outstretch his leg, the players are so close his knee catches our players lower thigh, causing him to go over,(with the simultaneous upper body contact) therefore I maintain its stone wall.

 

Are you forgetting all the shocking misses Banks had? I thought Halliday had a good game from what i heard.

 

The gates are spilt 50/50 in cups how much do you think they will charge us?! Maybe get that sort of return at Old Trafford but no chance at VP. Sky games I think you get about £100k which is decent but won’t get us anywhere near half a million for a VP game. I’d much rather a big team away.

How can you agree with them without watching all the games Wrexham have played this season ?.

 

I agree Yen. I haven’t looked at it in detail, but it certainly was a quite heavy shove/nudge and certainly hindered him going any further. It was in the penalty box and therefore a penalty. It doesn’t matter when it happened 1/90 minutes. Parky saying he can’t have seen it, but I doubt he would given a pen if he hadn’t. We have had much worse fouls in the box and waved play on that is for sure. However, we scored and that set the tone. Our team are still settling in, so sorry we weren’t our usual sparkling self, but we have a list of injuries as long as your arm as well. Wrexham had opportunities to score and didn’t. Wrexham fans coming on here and telling us we are the worst team they have seen this season is insulting and only 5 games in they hardly able to make that kind of judgement.

 

So if the Wrexham fans think that we are the worst team they've seen this season then what does it say about their own team. They ship goals for fun and have scored plenty but they only managed one goal last night and if we had taken our chance we would have been out of sight with our weakened side.

From my POV, you are not as direct, wasn't as fluid as the others that have played us at our place this season and not many players ventured forward. At one point in the 2nd half, all 11 players were passed the centre circle camped in your half. Only our keeper was in our half, so thats why you're the worst to come. We do shit ourselves when teams run at us and in numbers, something you rarely did.

By all means its not the worst performance, lets not get that and worst team mixed up.

MK Dons: ran at us with a shit load of pace.
Wigan: Created very little even with about 70% of possesion, we looked comfortable and not threatened. They did have some neat interchanges in midfield.
Swindon: ran at us with a shit load of pace. Every shot they seemed to score.
Walsall: Not a great deal at either end to be honest. Had some good chances to get back into the game when 2-1 down, our 3rd killed them off.

 

I think referees are going to biased against you, as a lot of people (referees included?) will be pi55ed off with the Yank circus and look to give you absolutely nothing, and soft pens/free kicks against you could be your norm this season.

 

Well I guess I’ll just have to trust their judgement in the same way I trust my own when I say Wrexham in the first half are the worst team I’ve seen us play this season.
They’ve played MK Dons, Wigan, Swindon and Walsall at home and so it is quite feasible that we are worse than all of those.

 

I think this sums us up really as the most negative squad I’ve ever seen wear the shirts in 40 years.

He was clearly leaner at the start of last season compared to this. So if not overweight now, he must have been underweight at the start of last season? I have rarely seen a professional footballer with a belly - is it body shape?
