Yep... God knows what they will do with the shell

Can never be anything other than a money pit cos there's zero insulation in it and can't be a sports stadium as there's 2 giant colums holding the roof up

Just quoting what was said at the meeting

I don't think the Council had much choice in the matter.

I wasn't talking about now Park. You are bang right, it is definitely big enough for League Two and for League One (fingers crossed). However my ambition for the club, and I should imagine yours as well is be established in the Championship, and for that development would probably be the next step, especially with the potential away followings.
Hopefully by then we would have the investment necessary.

I'd love to see it developed but I think we'd have problems with the extra amount of people in what is a very restricted urban area. When it's close to capacity the surrounding areas are jam packed

There are many ways to reduce the amount of traffic around VP on a match day.
The fact there are no park and ride facilities anywhere in the city is a disgrace.
They could develop Odsal and Richard Dunns as a park and ride facility from South Bradford to start with. This would aid away fans too.
From the North side of Bradford I can’t think of a large area they could use but several smaller locations would work just as well.

You would still end up with a potentially 30,000 people around Valley Parade if a development ever did take place. It struggles badly when it anywhere over 20,000

30000 people are not the problem, it’s the traffic jams and parking problems we need to solve.
To have any chance of parking on Midland Road nowadays you have to arrive no later than 1pm

That's why I made those others suggestions Rog. There also aren't many other options, especially with the negative view many fans have of the site that once housed 102,000+ people for a sporting event. I can't think of any other sites with decent road/rail transport links.

Another white elephant plan for Odsal.

The only reason the stadium is open now and operating is due to stock car racing. Racing was stopped in 97 due to the pie-in-the-sky 'superdome'.

The Bulls are struggling outside of the SL with a couple of thousand at each game.

City are in the fourth division.

I'd think the time to dream up huge multi sport stadiums is when both clubs are back in the big league.

What about the Rocky Delph in Clayton ... ideal location and transport links.

Personally, I don’t want to see City move away from Valley Parade. Its our home, an is a part of the club’s identity.

I don’t want to see Odsal being touted as an alternative option, all due respect to the bulls but the stadium is a shithole an is not capable of serving football games.

Hypothetically speaking, if City were to get into the championship, id see us selling out most games

With the right investor, Valley Parade can be upgraded. The most logical solution is filling the corner between the midland rd stand and the kop, or/and upgrading midland to a 2-tier stand. The real puzzle would be what you do with the TL Dallas stand because its an eyesore an a shit stand

Bulldoze this area at the bottom of Manchester Rd and build a new stadium with parking and surrounding leisure / shopping.
It’s close to city centre and interchange.

Those flats are the ugliest eyesore on approach to the city and probably don’t have safe cladding.
    Demolish them all.

if extra capacity could be found by upgrading the Midland road stand, you could pull the Dallas stand down, and build new executive boxes and function facilities ,which if City got to the championship would be badly needed.
