Didn't he sell Ronson for £10 million? A fair bit of Wonga nearly 30 years ago. Initially he made some good business decisions, financed Kamara (with the help of Romeo Zondavan) brining in some players from abroad, got the Rhodes family involved who financed the kop redevelopment and the purchase of Mills, Rankin and Windass.

Seems Theo Robinson isn’t in today’s team photo. Not sure what’s happening at our club.

I wouldn't mind Jamahl Hector-Ingram he was voted Premier League 2 player of the season after scoring 22 goals a couple of years ago but was released by Derby

But in reality he's probably too young for Adams and not someone he would want to develop which is quite sad

We'll probably go the other end of the age spectrum and sign a 33+ year old

Only another two days and all will be revelled, but I do think many are making a mountain out of a mole hill. were talking about a player who's career at Valley Parade was mainly from the bench, that was under two managers Trueman & Sellars and now Derek Adams what have they not seen that some of our fans have seen, and as you say we actually got a fee for the lad.

Cant argue. As said earlier, hundreds of quotes saying so and so is crap, so and so won’t get us out of this division, we need a manager responsible for team matters, we want players that improve the squad. No one can disagree on that score

Yet when we get a fee for someone that is it the exact example of 3/4 of the above criteria all hell breaks loose.

I won’t lose any sleep Tony, and trust me , he won’t be the last.

I don’t wish the lad ill, far from it, but what has he brought to the club, and what could he bring in the future other than being a benchwarmer?

We want players who improve the squad, I certainly do, but sadly he wasn’t doing so.

I doubt that it was the lads plan to be a benchwarmer, anyway I liked him and saw no reason to get rid but as you say he won't be the last, don't know why anybody would want to come here with our recent on/off field record, it's appalling...

No of course it wasn’t in the lads professional personal plan, but he’s shown nothing to suggest he could fulfill his personal ambition. He just hasn’t developed since arriving imho. Clearly the club thinks so too..

I thought there was a half decent player there. And unless we are replacing him with someone of the skill level of Graham Carey then whats the point? At least the club can't play the skint card again cos we actually have a bit of money now. Wether we spend it.....

You've missed the important bit out about GR selling the Ronson trademark. He managed to 'forget' to mention it to HMRC and was later convicted of tax fraud in the High Court on the £4m tax due from the sale of Ronson. The judge who convicted him described GR as thoroughly dishonest. He had declared himself bankrupt just prior to his conviction and transferred most of his 'wealth' into his wife's name. She then divorced him taking her newly found wealth with her. Nice one Liz!

You're wrong about the financing of the ground developments and the players. Most of it came from either a commercial bank (Lombard from memory), from a merchant bank, S&F, and from a leasing company who also funded Wetherall's trransfer. It's no wonder we had so much debt when Admin 1 hit us.

There's a bit of a myth that GR pumped money into City when that wasn't the case.

Admittedly, for the first few years, he did a good job with borrowed or other people's money before milking the club for everything it had for nice dividend payments.

Very true, and we wouldn't want that again by being owned by a pair of chancers who have taken the money on sales made but not paid the VAT due on it.

A VAT return is due 37 days after the end of the period in which the income was earned (VAT quarter) so income earned 1st Jan to 30th March is due to have it's VAT return done by 7th May. It's due to be paid four times a year, so they have missed multiple deadlines.

Basically these jokers have taken the income and not paid the VAT due on it. I don't want people like that owning my club.

When it comes to shafting the tax man and the severity of the offence they are European Super League to Geoffreys Northern Premier League.

That's my point. GR's tax fraud was £4million and he was convicted. The jokers that Bronco touted as Bradford lads owe £223 million in unpaid VAT. I dont care how much they are worth. If HMRC take strong action they could bankrupt them and that isnt good when you own a football club.

Along with his brother, Issa was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire in the 2020 Birthday Honours for services to business & charity.
They have obviously conned a few along their way.

I'm hardly touting them just banter I throw in now and again to lighten the mood on here, they were Blackburn born & bred my good friend @Rogered Tart@Rogered Tart corrected me.
Paying £223 million is hardly breaking the back when you're net worth is :
    £4.68bn ▲ £1.12bn on 2020
Rank on the Rich List: 37 ▲ 6 on 2020
I'm sure as many other big companies have done in the past they could strike a deal with HMRC.

Sounds about right to get on the honour list, nothing surprises this day and age.
