Im seeing Conor McAleny next Sunday for a roast with my mrs and his for a catch up

was just chatting and said he is gonna getting loads of offers & he said there is interest from division above which isnt surprising ofcourse, bur he did say if City come in and make a good offer he will come to City

If he can be one of the leagues top scorers for the season in a very very poor Oldham side he would tear the league apart in a good side, if only we had got him in Jan as he saod he doesnt know what happened and would have come

 

The spine of the team has been neglected for too long and needs addressing badly this summer. central midfield and defence in particular. Look at the sides who went up strong and experienced much like when we had Jones etc before.

That should be number one priority and it probably needs 5/6 just to put that right with a striker too. It’s gonna be a busy summer if we are serious about promotion

Given what we saw yesterday I'd rather give Sikora the shirt next to Canavan to see if he can match the potential we saw and grow into a first team player.

Sikora was comfortable and confident on the ball and looked like he felt he could mark a player without trying to make him play in skins.

Long way to go for him but he's certainly worth another look over captain calamity.

 

Yet he was to blame for the second goal it was awful defending

 

Trueman hinted yesterday that they are still targeting a player or two that they couldn't get done in January, you would like to think McAleny being one.

Anyway, if we're listing defensive errors it's not the greatest place to start if we're trying to defend Paudies place in the team.

See, this is what I don't get. We hear this sort of thing time and time again from players - 'Bradford is a proper club', Bradford is a massive club', 'when I knew they were interested it was a no brainer' - yet when they get out there on the pitch, they play like they couldn't give a sh!t.

 

That has been the overall mentality at the club for far too long Petrov - no wonder it rubs off on the players, particularly on those who have the necessary gonads in the first place! We have to get so many things right this summer and, based on the snippets I get, I am quietly optimistic we will see some real change before we start again in August

 

There have been too many false dawns over the past few seasons with us being told every summer that things will be different next season, so I hope you are right!

 

I am particularly interested how they are going to go about improving the amount of injuries we incur and general levels of fitness

 

We will tell our defenders to back off and our forrads to tiptoe around the centre circle, worked well this season though didn't it..?
