True Fog, think we need to remember for a young lad he has never shirked playing (I think some did) despite it being an uphill battle from very early in the season. Really pleased for him

You're right mate, BRE and DMH shouldn't even get near the bench from now, we should use January to make sure they dont.

Having a sensible hard working Sutton alongside definitely makes a difference.Must give Watt so much more confidence

As I've said he'll be a very important player for us if he can stay on the pitch. balances the midfield and allows the other two to focus more on their own strengths. Also no slouch on the ball himself.

I thought both of our full backs had difficult games today. Young lad at right back struggled in the first half but he didnt give up, will be a good learning experience for him as it won't always go well for you every week. Wood strikes a ball brilliantly well but he cannot stop a cross to save his life and it will continue to cause problems for us until he sorts it out.

Also Donaldson is a disgrace. Too arrogant to see he's completely past it. Speaks volumes we scored instantly after he went off, as they were probably taken unawares at having to actually deal with a threatening presence up front in Novak. All good glad handing himself for being a bradford lad but he's sucking a wage out of the club, probably not a small one either, yet offering us absolutely nothing.

All in all excellent smash and grab win, Trueman forcing himself into contention for the job at least until the end of the season for me. However I would say this is reliant on us having a head of recruitment in the building for him to work with.

I agree Donaldson's legs have gone but whatever you and I think it's up to whoever picks the team to decide whether it's over for him.
Do you expect him to say "don't pick me I'm past it"

He took the extension, stupid of us to offer it but there comes a time any athlete needs to look at themselves in the mirror and be realistic. He wasn't any better last season and there was no evidence to suggest anything would change this season. Its up to him what's more important now, his ego as an athlete or his hometown club.

Agree mate. If we pick up another win on tuesday, what more do we want from a manager, tyro or otherwise - four wins and a draw. Has any new City manager ever achieved that in modern day? He's clearly clicking with the players.

He certainly knows what he's doing in that 4-2-3-1 formation and his style of finishing is crosses/cross field balls that he can flick in or push in. Doesn't like the 1 on 1s where there's time to think.

A couple of quicker lads who could play either side of him in that 3 and push on ahead of him would really do well for him.

The formation seems to play to his strengths. Which isn't something we've said for a while about any striker!

It’s so refreshing this run, not only for the 3 points but for the wholehearted performances put in by of each and every one of them. The belief is back, and we look a team.

McCall has to take full responsibility for the shambles he created, personally I lost a bit of respect for him with his excuses and his tantrums and unprofessionalism on Radio Leeds.

Finally time for this club to move forward again and a clear sign not look to the past.

Donaldson is a corpse, I agree, but he usually plays a late role to rest Novak in the last 15 min or so. He’ll do for that, but past it to be worthy of a start.

They were saying he was past it at Bolton, not sure who thought it was a good idea to sign him. I guess being kind, he can sort of do a job first half to soften the oppo up a bit, but that’s about as good as it gets.

I can see him having a role on the bench to come on for the last 15 minutes and make a nuisance of himself. Doesn't look likely to change a match though but until we have someone better at least he'll give 100%

Yep. He seemed even more adamant he would prove the doubters wrong this time, too, but him hanging on has only set us back. If he’d gone after Orient, as he should, we might even be eying up playoffs right now!!!

Last season he put himself about a little bit but he was on his arse even then. Gotten worse and worse as this seasons gone on. Got no patience for someone who clearly isn't doing the business and will doubtless be on good money. Speaks a lot he's still shit under Trueman when so many other have turned their performances around.

Agreed, he may turn up in Scotland but can’t see him getting a gig in England anymore.

My dad and me would give 100% mate, nobody should get credit for putting effort in because its such an absolute bare minimum expectation for me. Today he didn't offer any nuisance value, it took him 55 minutes to win a header and he didn't have a shot all game despite him being our sole centre forward. God awful and it could have quite easily cost us the game as nothing stuck up front at all till he went off.

Just a player who needs to retire, and should have done already. He might do us in some sort of bit part role, but he is painful to watch.

I think they only played him to give Cooke and Pritch a bit of a break. Trying to share the load a bit. How we played in the first half was a bit different to the last couple of games. Too many long balls. They were all more comfortable when Pritch and Cooke came on and hence we controlled the game from 70 to 85 mins or so.
