Don't understand it at all. They've gone from practically hopeless, to very solid and effective, almost overnight.

Didn't they like/rate/understand McCall and what he was asking them to do? Were they scared that there days at the club would be numbered if they kept up with those poor performances and they're trying to impress whoever takes charge?

I just can't accept that two relatively inexperienced academy coaches can transform a team in a matter of weeks. I'm not complaining, it's just all very odd.

 

First half, great battling. Second half even better. Fantastic performance and the best I’ve seen in a long time. Back to basics and the lads are flourishing. Levi Sutton looks like a totally different player! Full backs a little shaky is the only minor concern. Bring 4/5 in, in January- couple of wingers, striker or two, right back and a CM and I genuinely think we can push right on. How’s that for a positive post @Keefly Bantam

 

Unfortunately I had both yesterday, that's why I'm on the beers today. That win has taken the edge of the hangover somewhat. Sure it's given Sparks a major headache though!

 

100 % agreed with this.

I think our substitutions improved us, I felt Tranmere's weakened them

 

Cooke changed the game for me.

Great result. Trueman and Sellars are making this very difficult for them not to get the job until the summer now. Then reassess and decide if they are the long term answer.

 

Need to add a few more quality players in January then more of an overhaul in Summer. Having said that we look far more solid now. Doesn't Sutton look a good player now? A couple of links with Billy Clarke 2nd half were very good, plus he tracks back as did Clarke himself. A good defensive team effort when required. Said this before but I swear Paudie has grown a couple of inch.

 

Bearing in mind without the Pritchard own goal it would have been 12 from 12.

 

Over half a season left, playoffs are very achievable but we have to continue to be hard to beat like we are now.

 

Great all round team performance. Killing the game, running the clock down and no panicked defending. Well done T&S, you certainly deserve the chance to continue.

 

What’s even better is you know this result would have really pissed him off.

Sorry Jon but you're coached to go to the man with the ball. Same in rugby. You've got to make the man who has the ball make a decision. Best thing for him is if he doesn't have to make a decision and can just carry on. You need to force the guy who has the ball to do something. If he'd backed off and the guy had walloped it into the top corner we'd have been - why didn't he close him down!!

Whats essential is that we don't get carried away. We invest in the areas of the club that need it, and all of the sudden the future starts to look much brighter@

About time we dished it out everyone else over the years has done it to us mainly at VP.

 

Notice we improved a lot and won the game when he reverted to Pritchard and Cooke to the normal line up. would never had done that with the starting line up.Well done the coaches

 

Sutton's looking really driven, full of energy. To be fair to him, being suspended at start of season and then picking up a (n albeit stupid) red card with us, he's never had the opportunity to get some momentum going until now.

 

Win on Tuesday night and again next Saturday I think Ryan has a big call to make.
