You dont understand?. Simple to explain really. McCall was a very stubborn poor manager who didnt have a clue how to turn things around.

Trueman and Sellars with their modern methods of coaching have taken over, played a system that suits the players at their disposal, and got the best out of players such as Paudie and Sutton who were poor under McCall and his wretched formations

 

It seem's we always need a player to moan about. We won ,third in a row and four unbeaten.
Its Christmas , have another drink or a slice of cake and just enjoy for once,

We aren't fantastic by any means. But if you can't differentiate between how solid we look now compared to three weeks ago you should start watching tiddlywinks.

Just listened to Elliott Watt.
What a level headed individual, refreshing to hear such honesty from a young professional.

 

2 goals conceded in 4 games, 1 an own goal. This is dummies guide of how to be successful in lower league football. Today was the sort of performance that gets you the majority of your wins in a season.

 

McCalls stubbornness was his downfall. He was set in his ways. BRE and DMH kept getting gametime. He refused to look at free agents. He persisted with three at the back. Every week he fretted about the opposition and worried too much. He blamed injuries when he elected to go with a small squad.

These lads came in and the shite hasn’t got a look in. They switched to 4-2-3-1, have communicated with the players what has been expected from them and, ultimately it has worked.

The players want to play for them and are fighting and battling. We don’t go into every away game fearful of losing.

 

Good job, finally keeping players out of the team who provide nothing.... something McCall couldn't see!

 

Hopefully he enjoys his “shorter” journey home

Great all round team performance. Killing the game, running the clock down and no panicked defending. Well done T&S, you certainly deserve the chance to continue.

 

You're right mate, BRE and DMH shouldn't even get near the bench from now, we should use January to make sure they dont.

 

It’s so refreshing this run, not only for the 3 points but for the wholehearted performances put in by of each and every one of them. The belief is back, and we look a team.

McCall has to take full responsibility for the shambles he created, personally I lost a bit of respect for him with his excuses and his tantrums and unprofessionalism on Radio Leeds.

Finally time for this club to move forward again and a clear sign not look to the past.

What commitment what discipline, the lads again demonstrate they can stick resolutely to the plan.Non stop hassling and chasing lost causes now a strong team ethic. Great to see, nervy moments, yes, but again up to the challenge. Trueman again using his subs to good effect..not seen to much under previous management.

 

Don't understand it at all. They've gone from practically hopeless, to very solid and effective, almost overnight.

Didn't they like/rate/understand McCall and what he was asking them to do? Were they scared that there days at the club would be numbered if they kept up with those poor performances and they're trying to impress whoever takes charge?

I just can't accept that two relatively inexperienced academy coaches can transform a team in a matter of weeks. I'm not complaining, it's just all very odd.
