The genuine problem I have with trying to be positive in the current situation is that every aspect of the club just looks negative.

Firstly, I don't like the squad. There's barely 2 players at the club that I'd be fussed about if I never saw them play for us again. We're obviovsly missing players in key positions as well.

Secondly and added to the first issue, I don't have much faith in Stuart. He ticks none of my boxes for a "good" manager but more importantly given the context of #1, in all the time hes been here he's barely signed 5 players I rate and actually liked. I don't recall him making any "late" signings that ended up turning the views around.

Thirdly, I have no faith in Rupp and Rhodes to do the right things off the field to help Stuart. It's probably one of the worst combinations I can imagine, an uninterested money man and a hired gun who overall has an overwhelming record of failure.

So what should I be positive about?

 

At the expense of what dreary football sitting back? How many concede today. If you think our defenders were sound last season then you must set a low bar. We conceded less because of how the team was set up. How many did we score in open play?

Unfortunately some on here are blinded by the club of the club and can't see the reality of the situation.

In truth I don't believe them. I can't believe if their wife or partner said how is Bradford City doing that they would reply that everything is just fine. Nonsense! It's front that they put on here because I know that these people are not stupid.

McCall does worry me and I am not going to let my love for me blind me on that but this is his last chance to prove himself as a manager here.

It sounds like Guthrie , had a decent game again today . An assist and forced a good save from the keeper to keep it 3-2.
The lad might yet come good. I for one am willing to give him a chance and not judge him on the few minutes , when he had just signed for a new club before lockdown.

 

I thought due to CV19, trials were not allowed, or deemed "difficult". I genuinely thought that's why we haven't had any. Now I realise it's just another crock of bab being spun by Stuart.

 

Not only just signed for a new club before lockdown, but signed by a manager who was practically out of the door the day after signing him. He'd already had 3 managers last season before he arrived with us and was probably onto his fifth before he'd found somewhere permanent to live up here. It's no wonder he looked so shell shocked and like he didn't want to be here.
