    It's all becoming clear now, we keep pushing the Covid-19 issue to force people to have health passports. We have managed to sneak some form of identity card in under the radar, Very clever no objections no political outrage.

    I honestly feel that if Covid woudn't have happened Boris would have been looking to privatise the NHS.

    The heath card will be a way of putting people in to groups and making unhealthy people pay more.

    I was chatting to my nephew whose post-doc research is in this field but nothing to do with Covid 19! He was telling me that there are over 100 teams around the world doing research and development into a Covid 19 vaccine. Some have been proved not to work but more than 10 are already in largescale Phase 3 trials, including at least 2 from UK teams. That sounds quite positive. But he also said that despite many years of development of a MERS or SARS vaccine, (both similar infections to Covid 19) there still isn't one that works well enough. And we've never found a vaccine to work against the common cold viruses! On balance, he believes one or more Covid 19 vaccines will be found and manufactured but might well require further devlopment before they are reliable enough for largescale immunisation programmes as happens for some flu infections and the likes of measles.

    I'm on the positive side of that issue and believe there will be a vaccine at some point. But in the meantime, we all have to learn how to cope with the infecion on a daily basis and that includes the selfish members of our society who seem to believe they are different to the rest of us.

    I also believe(hope) at some point a vaccine will be found but the government(the world) isn't acting like that will be anytime soon. We are not getting crack on with your life. It's lockdown here and there plus being scared if the rate is increasing.

    Thanks for your insight mate. Good read!. Yes, tests will be underway but people need to understand that tests have been going on since the start of the year in China. 8 months later we are still in hope.

    You can tell by the way Boris is acting that they seems to be less hope in the Oxford vaccine.

    We might find a drug to reduce the impact of the virus if someone catches it but to find a vaccine to stop it the virus being a killer is going to be very difficult indeed.

    You will see that a vaccine will be released eventually
    But only when the all powerful Pharmaceutical companies allow and there is enough cash in it for them
    What will be in the vaccine will be a complete mystery to us all
    No one is coming anywhwhere near me with it that's for sure

    For a lot on here all they need to do is put it in brewers yeast and then then they will be able to track you!;)

    But is it that much of a killer now? The death rate is falling by the week and last week/month? (not sure which) more people died of bowel cancer than from Covid but they don't publish daily/weekly updates on that. We have a vaccine for flu but people still get it every year, and some people unfortunately die because of it.
