Add to the list of players unlikely to make another City league appearance for various reasons before their contract is up. Doyle, Reeves, Patrick, Robinson, Riley, possibly Gibson.

Does it matter what’s happened to Reeves? It has happened and the chances of him playing for City again are slim, the chances of him making an impact on the success of the season slimmer still. Move on.

A waste of resources? If we have to pay him anyway, he's hardly taking much in the way of resources on top of that. I don't understand why you think him being around the squad and trying to get fit to play again is such a big deal.
It's not like he's being disruptive. Bowyer has said that he's good to have around. So what's the problem? If he gets fit and plays again for us then that's a highly unexpected bonus. If he doesn't, his contract expires next June and we say goodbye and good luck. I just don't get what's so wrong with that. Why do you need to be so vindictive towards someone who is clearly struggling, for whatever reason, to get his career back on track?

honestly. 2 years. with a groin injury.

even Micah Richards played the odd game during his long spell lay off's. and Andy Carroll, and Jack Wilshere.

we're not a charity, or rehab for ex footballers struggling with the end of their career.

I don't necessarily agree with your fk him off approach but I do think there needs to be a time when we need to decide if it's worth carrying on especially if his contract is up in the summer.

I would hope that option has been looked at for the benefit of both parties, has the club have given him a date to when they expect him back and involved, maybe around Christmas/NewYear and if he does not look like he's going to be available then possibly pay his contract up ?.

    It's October now.

Look, sports person or non sports person we all know that when you've been out from doing sports activities for a period of time that you're more than likely to pick up other injuries not even related to the injury you've.

    He not even match fit.

It's not a good situation for both parties and that's why sometimes it's just best going your separate ways.!

Look, the obvious difference is that he's continuously 'trying' to get match fitness, still training and doing rehab work to get back playing. He was also overworked while not being fit enough to do so which knocked him back too. He's not sat at home watching loose women and meeting the lads for a kick about on a Thursday night.

I think he has had other injuries like a calf strain (I think) sp it's not just a groin injury but that was the main problem.

We'll know the main test is real matches.

It will take him months to get match fit if he returns and I don't think currently with our average start that the club can risk him in matches.

Going our separate ways is best for all round in my view.

Groin problems, and a calf strain doesn't put you out two years.

someone needs to front up and tell us what the actual problem is, or get rid.

So you agree, I posted " I would hope that option has been looked at for the benefit of both parties", so maybe just maybe the club know better than us with regards his present condition.

That is virtually half a team! In regard to Patrick, then perhaps not injury, but he has failed to progress. In respect of Gibson it seems a little premature to say he is ‘unlikely’ to make another appearance, prior to injury he had some decent spells as an attacking midfielder in a wide position.

In defence of Patrick, he hasn't failed to progress at all. he never had any progress to make, he was always just impersonating a footballer.

a little bit like that guy that fooled Graham Souness into believing he was George Weah's cousin. although I'm pretty sure that guy was actually better than Omari.

I don't see any advantage in paying his contract up and getting rid. The money can't be used for anything else either way. I assume under FFP (or whatever the lg2 equivalent is) it's irrelevant whether monies are paid in a lump sum or monthly. Therefore better to pay him monthly for the rest of his contract and see what happens. From what I can see he isn't being a "bad apple" and is also contributing to the club in other minor ways

The players would love your car? Having seen footballers tastes in cars am I to assume yours has a camo paint job and shiny wheels from Project Kahn

Its been said by many, Reeves will never play a competitive game for City ever again. Huge waste of money, and sounds like a wnker in general too. Get rid once and for all, absolutely fed up of hearing this leech's name. I won't forgive him for celebrating with his Wimbledon pals after they secured safety at the end of last season, nowhere to be seen then gets pictured laughing & joking with them in the tunnel

Yeah black car that looks blue in the light. It's mint. No just top end Merc wheels.

Footballers dream of a car mate.

Have a Range as well but you will mainly catch me in the Merc.

You fancy a midget and a ride in it?
