Connolly and Ismail are huge upgrades on scannell though, well done to bowyer on that one.

Connolly yes, not totally sure on Ismail. He looked like Yeates to me before he scored.

 

Some good individual performances today Pritchard was guven MOTM but for me Connolly had a good game, Wood had a good game, and Cooke did well possibly Palmers best game for us.

 

The first sending off completely changed the game. Up to then it was a pretty even and quite a turgid game of football bar the odd run from Connolly. After that it ws an entertaining game of football. Connolly man of the match for me although all the midfield played well, Palmer had his best game for the club.

The opening 25 minutes were not good enough. We woke up once they went down to 10 men.

Bowyer and his team haven't won me over.

 

Have to say Connor Woods defending is coming on tenfold this season. I was always uncomfortable with him starting, but left back looks far stronger this season.

Also wingers. We asked for wingers we’ve got 3 who look dangerous at this level. Scored 3 without our strikers who we thought we’d have to rely on is a good sign.

Think that's harsh. He completely changed the game for us and got an assist the other week v Northampton and came on and scored a good goal today. Still not 100% match fit yet either.

 

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a positive post from you on here or C and B. Realistically nobody will ever win you over. It’s either just in your nature to be negative 100% of the time, or you’re a WUM after bites at times.

Aye. I think people have drastically underestimated how difficult it is to get match fit at professional level. Ten games in and it’s not bad I suppose.

 

This 100%. We are going to need goals from all over the park and we got that today. Long may it continue.

 

Yes he was mint when he came on last time and did the business today, but maybe it is just fitness at this point.

I hope he fulfills his potential, he could be fantastic, looked a bit lethargic to me, but on the ball there is no question he has natural ability.

 

First visit to Valley Parade of 2019 for me.

Really enjoyed it. A very entertaining game.

Thought we looked lost for the first half hour. Playing it out from the back, but unable to really do anything in their half at all.

Cracking goal, our midfield getting stuck in and the sending off changed the game.

Poor tackle from BRE. Never getting that ball.

I was sceptical about our midfield early on, but we have some good technical players there. Great to see Connolly : a player who can beat a man. That will be a huge asset for us.

Donaldson did well for the third goal but I didn't think he offered enough holding up the ball.

Overall, we deserved the win and the score was about right. Their keeper made a couple of good saves, as did O' Donnell. Like to see the disallowed goal again, I think there may have been a bit of handball.

 

Even if we were 6 points clear at the top of the table I bet you still wouldn't be happy.

 

Best performamce of the season for sure. Its a long time since Ive seen us create so many chances in a game like that.

Connolly my MOTM, but notable good performances from Pritchard, Cooke, Palmer and Wood too.

Palmer looked so much better alongside Cooke. Once they have played together a few more times, Im sure they will prove to be a good partnership.

The only blot today was the stupid reckless challenge from BRE. Micky Kennedy would have been proud of that, but you could get away with it in his day.

A pat on the back for Bowyer, who got his substitutions spot on today.

Disgraceful how Pritchard got MOTM over Connolly. Sponsors need to get a grip.

Wood, Connolly, Cooke all major positives. Great impact from Ismail again too.
