Left wing would be Gibson. He can do that role while we hopefully get a left winger in. He's disciplined enough defensively and got an assist from that position at grimsby.

CM would be palmer and akpan (yes I know). I though that combination in a 442 worked well against Wigan so why not try it again? You never know they might suit each other. But akpan still needs replacing.

Plus it allows Donaldson and Vaughan to play next to each other and form a partnership. We saw glimpses but promising signs in the time they played together as a partnership against Wigan and then for the last half hour at grimsby.

And then as an added bonus Doyle and Anderson are nowhere near the starting XI.

Nobody would use Edin as a reason because it won't be an intentional move to expect or want his style of chairmanship to continue - but by piling pressure on Bowyer after two league games, unfortunately all that is doing is extending Edin's strategy.

That era needed ending right away - there is nothing fundamentally wrong with the current manager IMO.

I've seen very few calling for his head. The majority are expressing legitimate and obvious concerns about how we've started the season.

Cup games used to be where we would see fight and release of any pressures that the league might bring.
None of that happened last night so who do we blame??

 

Blame Bowyer but don't call for his head surely being logical? It's a new season, we haven't actually lost a game in the league although performances do need to improve. But is that really enough to warrant a manager sacked? 2 effing games and two draws because if it is the fans are to blame for the state of modern football is in just as much as anyone else.

 

its him failing to see the formation, tactics and the team he puts out isn't working. He's not identified that yet.

Anderson should not even be starting games at local sunday level. He's not a central midfielder or footballer in that matter.
