But don't you think that we should be playing near enough the starting 11 for Shrewsbury in this sort of game They need time to gel get to know the way each other plays and what's more smashing a few goals in against weaker opposition can only breed confidence.
Everything else you say is spot on. CW although not at his best half of last season is a worry he is the only forward we have capable of putting the ball away and we need to sign an adequate replacement or suffer the consequences. As you say we have gone from wanting 5 million to considering 500k (we won't even get that) shows a lack of stability from above. We are now counting the cost of whatever happened last January which should have been openly discussed all views aired and put to bed instead of dragging on ( the Cloughie way) I shudder to think of what that little episode cost us in terms of no promotion players values plumetting not to mention an early FA Cup exit but never mind we now have a squad full of young hopefuls who may or may not become useful

Does that apply to L1 matches as well

I really meant in general ,our away support is average at best compared to the ratio of our home support.
P.s i went to st johnston too.
Im such a positive type of guy and have banged the edin city drum but what i saw what i heard im very flat.
Unless we sighn 4 quality first teamers and play to a plan/system then i cant get upbeat.

Actually, you'll be surprised to know, Perth is a lovely City. We go to the races there once a year now, beers in the sun, watching the clear waters of the River Tay wending it's never ending way, to the sea. Cracking mexican restaurant too the football experience was ultimately, forgettable, though.

Silver - I dont care one jot about losing pre-season friendly matches (although winning is a good habit to have!), I do care that we have hardly created a chance in the 2 games so far and that, if we are being totally honest, the club is still in the mess that was starting to develop end of last year. I hate the negativity around the club but I also know brushing it under the carpet is not going to help. I just hope we put out a semblance of the team that is likely to start in less than 3 weeks time and we give a more positive showing against Sheff U on Tuesday just to lift the mood. Whatever you think mate things are NOT good at the club, there are many issues bubbling under and everyone is looking for a few signs of progress to produce a more upbeat atmosphere.

 

We started with a 3 -0 defeat at BPA !!

 

There you go! After 2 pre seasons games this year, we have had less goals scored against us than we did in 1 game last year!
