No need to apologise, we have a many views on here, I didn't agree with his, I don't think he'll lose any sleep I believe he has me on ignore, but I'd have posted the same ignore or not.
Little point IMO coming onto a forum and not debating your point.

 

I think I’ve outlined my opinion that trying to persuade Rupp to be an active owner is something I support but not the mass walkouts and trying to encourage people not to renew season tickets.

 

Have the rebels done that or proposed that yet? NO. We have written a letter to Rupp inviting him to talk. If he is unwilling then other action will be considered. I reiterate my point that his operating model is taking us backwards, facts speak for themselves.....

 

And again I’ll reiterate, I don’t like Rupps operating model either but the reason for our failures may not be primarily his if the budgets provided are adequate and the mis-spending of those funds are the biggest problem.

 

I don't think there are many detractors Ian, and if their were they are a very small number compared with those who attend games, credit to all involved we have to start somewhere.

 

And who spends that money, the incompetent CEO in charge who we also want to call into question. In his eyes he's doing a fantastic job but again his operating model isn't working. Who should be judging the incompetent CEO, the man with the purse strings but he's not interested. So we sit on our hands as the club disappears slowly into oblivion.....mediocrity....or worse.....

 

Your first sentence is exactly what I gave been saying for months. Irrespective of who is CEO , the owner sets the financial agenda.
I know what the comments will be , not necessarily from you, and people know exactly what the follow up question will be. The fundamental one they cannot answer.

Not necessarily BL. The other methods are reduce the playing/ transfer budget, reduce the squad size , increase prices, add more commercial opportunities , reduce support staff numbers or a combination of both. Wages are the largest drain on any business.

 

You aren’t thinking once again. There are many ways to cover for reduced revenue streams.

 

Is there? Why haven’t we used them before then?

 

Think people are missing the point the budget is not enough. You need a certain type of personality and technical ability to play for this club in this League.

It has to be 8/10 each week for 80% of the squad and that costs. It’s because every other club ups there game.. you need to be on it every week.

No one in this squad has that criteria or mindset and until we address it we will flounder and flounder.
