You won't be so flippant when you miss out on tickets for Sutton United away.

Although it’s a sarcastic post now you’ve brought Sutton up I’ll make a point of why I’d rather City be promoted. England win on Sunday and I’ll be back at work Monday, sure it’ll be in the news a bit before the part time football fans go back to moaning and it for another two years and it’ll be as before. City get promoted and we don’t have to watch the likes of Sutton, Harrogate and Barrows of the world come week in week out.

I have to admit, Bradford getting to the League Cup final v England making the Euro's final. As chuffed as I was last night, it was nothing compared to the night at Villa Park.

In my day, I'd have given them a run for their money...
As for the garden practice, didn't go too well, slipped off ladders this afternoon and dislocated my left shoulder. Bloody fool I am..

Yes Villa was a once in a life time thing. Although another lasting memory was as a 9 year old, seeing the great Eusabio crying his eyes out when we knocked Portugal out of the World Cup back in 1966, then beating Germany in the final. That was very special.
I suppose that's why it's a difficult question for me to answer, I'm a proud Bradfordian/City fan but I'm also a proud Englishman even though some people in the media feel that is something to be ashamed of in the present day.

Tbh if I were at Wembley it might have been on par with Villa, but as I was watching it on the TV that might be a factor.

I was ten. I was away in Holland on a camping trip. Had to listen to the final on the radio.

BTW, who in the media has ever suggested that being English is something to be ashamed of?

Having got this far, I think I'm now tipping towards England winning on Sunday than City getting promotion this season, if I couldn't have both. City will have opportunities every year in a league format to get promoted if they are good enough. The rub of the green evens itself out over a long season. But in a knockout competition the chances of misfortune, dodgy decisions etc ruining the run are much greater so I'm going for England now we've got to the final.

I’ve no idea why I’m so sad, however I’ve been giving this some thought for days.....
I knew in my heart my answer was always going to be Bradford City promoted but couldn’t articulate why. Reading some other posts has helped me understand why i feel that way.
I’m as patriotic as anyone else, on Sunday the BBQs coming out, beer fridge loaded with Saltaire Blond, champagne on ice, a few mates coming round should be a great evening........
I’ll be gutted if England loose but it won’t hurt like it would if I were watching City, the party will carry on! Someone mentioned Villa away, what a night, makes me smile just thinking of it, the elation of Liverpool at home to stay in the premiership, I didn’t get to go to Chelsea however occasionally I’ll put the DVD on and still well up at the end.
I won’t buy a DVD of the England match, whilst I’ll get caught in the euphoria at full time if they win I won’t loose any sleep if they don’t.
That feeling at Wembley V Millwall at the final whistle the feeling sick to the Pitt of my stomach. Not speaking all the way up the M1 home before 8-00 because I drove like a Twit.
City are my religion, my drug of choice, a cross I bear through life........,England are a football team who I desperately want to win, but well, with England it’s only a game!

City is our secret sin, especially if you dont live there anymore. City will win again, but there is something quite unique and special about a whole country coming together as one, especially at a time when we are purposely being divided and fractured. Im going for England this time due to the timing
