Would you rather City get promotion or England win Euros? Now with poll

Neither was Wembley nor the Prem . It’s possible to say it’s a “once in a lifetime” event ,however facts prove it was not impossible.

I want both England and City to succeed of course, but City is my home town, and I have supported them for 61 years. England I don’t feel the same kinship perhaps?

 

I don't feel that kinship to England, but something about these covid times tell me that the country as a whole would benefit so much from an England win, and I'm prepared to express my preference in my country this time around. It's a one off and if we fail, everything goes back to City.

I was 2 when we won the world cup and my first memory of WC football is therefore Mexico 70.

It's close run, but I've gone with England as if we (Bradford City) fail this year I have every confidence in Derek Adams that it will be next year instead, possibly as champions. I don't have that confidence in England. I think the stars are aligning this year and come the next world cup Germany will have rebuilt, Brazil will come back stronger and we will be lucky to get 4th place again.

No hesitation, a City Promotion

 

I have a connection with Bradford and Bradford City, even though I have spent all bar five years of adult life living away, for all the problems the City has, it’s still home. Bradford City got me from the first game in 1983 right through to today. I can’t change the club I support, it’s easier to change gender. An England win will fade away, but if I wasn’t at a game, I remember where I was for all of City’s big moments. City first for me.

 

This is how I look at it. Of course I'd be delighted if England win, but that delight won't come close to how I feel when City do well, and if England fail to win, I'll get over the disappointment far quicker than I do when City fall short. Still not completely over Wembley 2017 if I'm honest....

 

I saw someone put the Billy Clarke miss up the other day on Twitter, and I was genuinely gutted. Still never watched that game back.

 

If I were Billy Clarke, I would have left the club that day and never come back. Shocking miss.

 

Both would make me so happy but if I could choose sorry city it would have to be England

Same here. imagine it. Applied for tickets in fanzone on Sunday in Trafalgar Square mind but wouldn't be anywhere near the same...

 

Not a fan of fanzones myself, went to one in Leeds at last World Cup. Seems to be allowed in you need to know how to throw a drink in the air.
