    Agreed. If you are English and love football then why wouldnt you want your national team to do well. The national team has galvanised the country which we need during these difficult times. Done us proud.

    I was talking specifically about last nights game which had 6 Kiev players starting who’d struggle to beat clubs from Brugge. So you only feel a connection with teams that win? Surprised you bother with City then…

    It’s just my opinion on football in general maybe I’ve just got older and not as interested, but modern day footballers don’t particularly interest me as they did when I was a kid. If you think my opinion or anyone else’s is strange I suggest keeping it to yourself.

    Which players have we signed that are lucky to get in a non league side? Note your wording of players. If you can't acknowledge that the club are trying to turn around not just four years of being badly run but probably 20 years then you are wrong.

    As for training ground and stadium - yes you are moaning. Expensive purchases for a L2 outfit. You loathe positivity so need to find something to push your own agenda....

    As I said in an earlier post, it is now 36 years since City actually won something. Yes we have gained promotion in runners up spots, but not actually won anything since then.
    In City’s history, we have previously won a division twice, 1908 and 1929 and of course the FA cup in 1911.
    I know there are some old posters on here, but I guess none of them were going to City in 1929, never mind earlier (not even @Park bantam@Park bantam ;)).
    So in the lifetime of say half the City fans, the club has won a major competition once, as has England in 1966.
    Personally I want City to actually win something, not just be on the podium. Frankly I want them to go beyond mere automatic promotion (although that would be very good [Silver medal]) or through the ‘play off’ (Bronze medal). This may be a little more extreme than @Fordy117@Fordy117 ’s view. :cool:
    I don’t have an England season ticket and have only been to watch the senior team play on three occasions. I did see the Under 21’s play at VP around 20 years ago.

    Got to be England for me, had plenty of good times with City, and will do again semi regularly, but never have with England and might never in the future

    Your first comment is blatantly daft, they could do it at the next Euros , right?

    When I was a teenager the thought of City getting to Wembley, once, never mind three times and playing in the highest league in the country would have seen me with a white jacket on and chucked in a rubber room.

    City is our secret sin, especially if you dont live there anymore. City will win again, but there is something quite unique and special about a whole country coming together as one, especially at a time when we are purposely being divided and fractured. Im going for England this time due to the timing
