What's this new era at Bradford City? Really? Where?

 

Come on mate . A manager with a good record, one we have actually had to go out and attract from another club.
New players and a CEO who is trying to do the right things , improving the stadium , attracting new sponsoship. keeping the fans informed .
We are a long way from where we all want to be but also a long way from where we were.
The start of a new season , is always a time to believe greater things are ahead.

 

Not sure id class the German team which is full of Bayern players 'farmers'. A very odd comment. Croatia certainly no mugs and the Czechs did ok this tournament.

I feel more connection then ever. This team would piss all over Svens England. Far better team spirit and desire to win anyway.

 

I was talking specifically about last nights game which had 6 Kiev players starting who’d struggle to beat clubs from Brugge. So you only feel a connection with teams that win? Surprised you bother with City then…

It’s just my opinion on football in general maybe I’ve just got older and not as interested, but modern day footballers don’t particularly interest me as they did when I was a kid. If you think my opinion or anyone else’s is strange I suggest keeping it to yourself.

England are benefitting from the sort of academy set ups that other countites benefitted from years ago, it's now England's turn to have that successful period that other countries like Germany and Spain had a decade or so ago. And the supply of players will only carry on, I'd expect a few players may end up looking at other countries as there will be decent players will not get a look in if you think the likes of Mount, Grealish, Foden, Bellingham and Sancho, Phillips and Saka will be around for the next 10 years or so.

 

Id say Sparks, Adams and Turnbull is a new era. The things they are doing to improve our club off the pitch is well over due.

You moaned for years about Rhodes. He gets replaced, you still moan. The training ground and stadium will have to wait but we all know you are simply looking for something to moan about.

Well we had a get out of jail card but mate we have reduced our wage bill massively and now signing players that lucky to get into a non league team. Let's not get too excited.

As for the training ground and Stadium - No not moaning! I am looking for the club to has assets. I don't care about getting someone to do the toilets for free. I want the club to stop acting like a PUB TEAM.

 

Which players have we signed that are lucky to get in a non league side? Note your wording of players. If you can't acknowledge that the club are trying to turn around not just four years of being badly run but probably 20 years then you are wrong.

We are a div 2 club with no assets - These are FACTS.

Now. when we are in div 1 and planning to secure the future of the club then yeah I will start to join in but look Rhodes was rubbish. I will judge the club in 12-18 months. Who has the one that's been calling out for improvement. ME!! So now we upgrade the toilets you want to jump on like the club are being positive. The toilets etc have been a disgrace for years. If you can't see or want to face the negatives thats up to you but this club isn't in the position to be all positive. It's FAILING!!

Going for the manager the club really wants is the biggest POSITIVE thing for me.

Oh and if I annoy people - tough! Unless you are 12 then I am sorry. I don't upset children.

You are entitled to your opinion. This is Bradford city and by your standards , we have been a failing club for all but a brief period in our history. That is not the fans fault, its the owners who have failed the club and supporters. The lack of investment for generations , led the club to more dark days than most clubs of comparable size.
It has been said many times, until we get owners with the will to purchase the stadium or build a training ground we will not own any assets. We need another Mr Richmond without the six week stupid ego.
No way can any fan be called out for lack of ambition, we all want the same thing for our money. To watch a team win football matches , progress up the leagues and hopefully be entertained along the way.

 

You're correct we all want whats best for Bradford City but we can all want the best in different ways.

Bradford City and this CHILDISH POSITIVE PR Campaign will never work on me. It's clearly they have people on here trying to push this positive pr agenda but I don't fool for that.

I'm impressed about getting Adams that's it. I will judge in 12-18 months but until I won't get excited until we are in div 1 or announce we will be owning our own training ground or stadium. Oh and Rupp is selling.

 

Certainly does seem so but its easy to push all positive vibes pre season when sweet FA has been achieved, all On the back of 4 seasons of decline.

The constructive posters, vultures and critiques will get their chance but I hope, pray, plead, wish that the positive posters get the final say.

Too early to see how next season will pan out.
