You see maybe I'm getting this all wrong but didn't R Owen say it would take 5 years to recover financially after that idiot got 'ousted'.

So if and it's a big if, their is a sell on clause amounting to say 2 and a bit million, either we have mounting debts or the sell on clause may not exist.

 

Was it up to five years financially, or just five years in general? I thought it was more the latter, and given the departures from the non-playing side there might be a lot of repairs needed there, along with rebuilding relationships with other clubs. Then again, the financial aspect could also refer to relationships with sponsors needing repair. Either way it has been a very costly last few years.

@wetherbywhaler was quite clear there was a 15% sell on fee, as he was part of the boardroom at the time. Now why would he say that if he was uncertain or be prepared to lie about it? There is no way he would do either, as he need not have said anything at all.

I can only assume that @Yorkshire baller has been in contact with the journo to inform him. What I can’t understand is why he is on here aggressively denying any sell on fee. It has been explained that McBurnie would not necessarily know about club to club negotiations and settlement. The only ppl it will affect is the Swansea boardroom, and us of course.

It would be great to have it, as it would help our finances, but in either event it will not come to us in one glorious lump. We should be very cautious about posters like @Yorkshire baller coming on here annon and claiming he knows highly sensitive financial information. We have no idea of who he/she is, and only talks about this specific subject.

I doubt we are relying on it, as it hasn’t happened. The one thing I do know is they will be all over this board if the info is correct and if we do receive a fee they will be gone without a trace never to be seen again.

 

Hang on just seen it. I was under the impression that any team involved in the development of a player are entitled to a development fee. Wether a fee has been paid or not

 

He is pretty insistent though he has said the same thing many times he must believe it. If he said who he was we could judge

 

So what do you think park, do you think Roger Owen who has said there is one is lying or do you think a poster who you’ve said yourself you don’t know his identity is lying?

 

I imagine @Yorkshire baller is simply mistaken, rather than outright lying.

I posted similar about @Yorkshire baller and asked if he was a relative or Ollies agent but no comment, one thing for sure if there is a sell on clause it will be the last we hear of him as he doesn't seem to have an opinion on anything else football wise.
