Yes without doubt, but even Bradford City in comparison to watching my family make there way in life is nothing near a comparison, the club as with yourself has been a BIG part of our lives and at times I thought it might have been Bradford City that took my sanity before old age did ;).

I know that is the situation with regards the elderly as mum signed a document years before she was diagnosed with dementia, yet we were asked at her last care home if we still wanted her wish's carrying out.
As I posted it was a conversation between my daughters friend and herself, but thinking about it if it was a choice between working on a patient over 70 against a younger person would it be an action they should take ?.

There needs to be demand for people to go back to work. Sadly, right now getting anything done on the house, getting my hair cut, having a coffee out with friends etc is just not necessary.

The state will be the driver of economic activity for the foreseeable future. The market is not designed to deal with situations like this; there will need to be some radical thinking to manage the issues that you rightly highlight. Rent controls, debt relief, guaranteed incomes, limits on profits/payment of dividends are all things that will have to be considered as well as re-orientating the economy towards activity that is beneficial to society as a whole. A huge growth in logistics, potentially more people working in healthcare and education etc.

In the short-term, no one should lose their home, lose their energy or water supply or access to the internet/communications because of an inability to pay. Of course there will be some people who take advantage of this, but for millions of people this will take away current anxiety and also give time for sustainable long-term solutions to be found.

You don't think talk of the collapse of the ENTIRE football pyramid is overblown?

I'm pretty sure it is, mate.

I'm taking about people losing their lives against a game of football, yes it would have an impact for sure but nothing compared to someone losing a loved one or possibly two that's my point.

I know, but I was saying talk of the football league pyramid collapsing was overblown, and you disagreed.

I didn't say our present situation is overblown.

I was discussing what would happen if there was no football.

Anyway, it doesn't really matter. This will likely have passed over by 2021, it's mostly damage limitation now, and o hope everyone stats safe at home until the danger has passed.

But we can't create other problems.

Under 20k deaths the government says we done very well. Think people need to face up to it that people will die and it's not going to be a low amount.

However, reduce the curve and we have to try to get on with things.

Football is a realise. It's needed to give hope.

The worrying thing though is that these measures are in place to help the NHS cope and spread the infection rate out the virus will still be there and dangerous especially to us oldies which will make people think twice going into crowds.

Its been reported today that the Premier League, EFL, FA and government have reached an agreement to play the remainder of the season behind closed doors in July over a 4-6 week period. As this means rolling into the 2020/21 season, they are considering scrapping the League Cup and EFL Trophy to ease fixture congestion.

Personally, when football returns, I think the priority should be to complete whats been started rather than voiding the season from both a financial and integrity point of view.

The only way we reduce that curve is by not just getting on with things.

No it's by washing hands, staying at home but the curve is 2-3 weeks.

After that not much more we can do. Basically, said that today. The number will go up over coming days or weeks but we do what Government says then cube should reduce and we get back to some normality.

With the current restrictions, its hoped that the peak will be in around 2-3 weeks. That absolutely doesnt mean life just goes back to normal at that point.
