The 2 signings HE’S made walk into this side. One of which was unavailable last night.
You keep banging on about him knowing what he was walking into and I’ve explained why he could only have limited information.
You’re just one of those fans who complain that things aren’t good enough and want change, but offer no alternative solution.
We’re bottom because of the quality of the squad, not the quality of the Manager.

What if we draw with Plymouth and all the other bottom teams lose on Saturday?
What if we lose to Plymouth but then win our other three December games?
There are so many possible scenarios. Of course it would be good to win at Plymouth but it's not the end of the road if we don't. Points are points, whoever they are gained against.
The odds are against us staying up. But others have done it from similar positions. Obviously bringing in some better players in January is vital.hippo, Bronco, Captain Grumpy and 4 others like this. -
Can we maintain tonight's level of performance against lesser teams than Peterborough? I think we can and I think our new assistant coach is going to make a difference.Survival here we come!

The one massive factor in these recent performances have been Payne, Ball and O'Brien they have lifted the bar and the others Doyle Miller, and the likes have done what they do best, this is not knocking the other squad players but if you can't see what those three offer to our team I have to question your football knowledge, trying to keep these three till the end of the season would be a massive plus, signing Ball and Payne would lay down a marker. so I have to agree with @Idlebantam.Keefly Bantam, Inspector, WilsdenBantam and 4 others like this. -
You didn’t rate any of the back 4 (prior to Caddis signing), didn’t rate any of the midfield other than Lewis O’Brien, and only rated Payne in an attacking sense. He’s still having to pick those same players and yet he’s getting results.
I’d suggest that IS “proving himself”. Surely if he’s getting wins from the players you thought weren’t good enough for L2, he must be God?Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...Inspector, WilsdenBantam, Yorkieman and 4 others like this. -
I’ll say it again, if you only rate 4 of the players, I’d suggest Hopkin is a miracle worker to be picking up points and almost getting a draw at Sunderland and against Pompey.Stop hovering to collapse... It strikes me that Hopkin has found a system which can exploit this group of players talents.
The previous incumbent and the ‘puppet master’, frankly did not have a clue.
The fitness levels in physical speed and ability to think under pressure plus stamina, has started to work to the skill set.
A fast pressing game, with the ball being played on the deck into dangerous positions, has left opponents looking anxiously.
The fact that we are scoring for fun, is a credit to this group of players!! None of them are Hopkin signings (bar the Caddis goal) and it is great to see.
Clearly Hopkin ‘does know football’!Ollylondonbantam, Frank Castle, Hulmebantam and 4 others like this. -
Today was always going to be tough and highly likely to result in defeat.
Like the Sunderland game, we just dust this one off and focus on the games that are more likely to yield points.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...The Evidence, Onside, WilsdenBantam and 4 others like this. -

Just a few points for those saying how poor we've been lately:
Wycombe have won 7 of their last 10 home games so a draw there was arguably good result.
Fleetwood have only conceded 14 goals away from home this season. While not brilliant going forward, they were exceptionally well organised and disciplined when defending - possibly the best we'll see this year. They were also very good at extensive time-wasting right from the start but without making it obvious and getting everyone booked. They were lucky to get all the points from us in a dire game which could easily have gone the other way.
Plymouth have been on a good run, losing only one of their last 9 - that one being away to ... Wycombe.
I'd argue that, but for a little luck, we actually equalled these three teams, who are 10th, 12th and 16th, which makes our recent performances very average/mid-table for League 1. The previous 7 games saw 10 points which is also very average. Our last 10 games arguably saw 2 unlucky losses - Fleetwood and Sunderland. (They probably made up for 2 lucky wins under Collins.) We've got 12 points from the last 10, with a -1 goal difference, but arguably 14 points with +1 might have been fair. It's all very mid-table stuff. Is it too late? Maybe. Can we do better than that? Maybe. We have yet to see Butterfield's quality shine and he and Clarke both arguably add to our limited goalscoring power so far this season.
Should we turn on the manager for recent mid-table form but for a little bad luck? No. It would be harsh. He is dealing with problems left by another's budget misspending, and now is not the time. I think fans should take a deep breath, keep calm, and keep behind Hopkin and the team. -

Imagine Man City forums and the people on there. All in agreement about how great Pep is, how great the team is and how great it is to be winning all the time. How nice. How boring. At least we don't have that problem!Bronco, bantamdave41, Tolly856 and 4 others like this. -

Do one Hopkin. He was a big waste of money as a player for us, and he is even worse as a manager

I wake up this morning like many City fans around the world still sad, fuming and in shock.
I've had many of good honest and at fun debates with the likes of @How @Onside @Park bantam @Bronco @Keefly Bantam and @BoingBoing @JonButterfield @Rogered Tart @SydneyBantam @Idlebantam to name a few and the only positive I can find at this minute is yesterday showed the power of this forum and how we all have Bradford City a our hearts.
This isn't no agenda driven forum because we've sat down with Hopkin,Mason, Rhodes or Rupp to have a chat and felt we got on with them so let's defend them. This is real, feelings. feeling from deep down.
Simon Parker who I have hammered a number of times deserves massive credit yesterday as I believe on Twitter he put this:
Walsall had lost eight out of nine, five in a row, not won at home since December - and had their top scorer sent off after six minutes. Can't put any gloss on that … #bcafc
@Ricc was the main person that warned us all about Edin back in the day and we all should of paid more attention but right here and right now it's not about Edin. It's about David Hopkin and how he is failing the club. Yes, I believe he's trying but we can all try hard at things and fail or it not be good enough. That happens! I feel he has lost the dressing room and once that has happened a manager needs to go.
Some say the Hopkin situation is like Parky's. I fully disagree. Parky had a plan. I remember Darby(legend) saying Parky phoned him and said he wants a team full of leaders and we will be going up. Parky had a vision. A footballing identity(like the style of not). Hopkin has no footballing identity and vision. The Jan transfer window was a shambles and from Barnsley game it's just gone downhill rapidly.
Mr Rhodes I do feel for. Bradford City reduce the season tickets to £150 and when it's been announced we were woeful against Fleetwood, extremely poor for 45 mins against Plymouth and dreadful against Walsall. What can he do? It's not good enough from Hopkin or the players.
It's over to people like @Jason McKeown @EwanJM @wetherbywhaler to show what they're about. I can't say what Jason Thornton was saying yesterday as I was at the game but I know the defeat yesterday would of hurt him but we all need to drop any agendas if we have them now and tell it how it really is because this club is in massive danger.
Massive respect to @How, @Onside and @JonButterfield.
@king karl you should be proud. This is the real voice of Bradford City Football Club!Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...bantamdave41, Bronco, Idlebantam and 4 others like this. -
Well let’s not get into the habit of sacking managers. We have 4 this year not one of them have been able to turn our fortunes, so for better or worse he has to stay warts and all. He is a gutsy manager and we are going to need that and hopefully that ethic can be passed on,
