When do we start to question Hopkin?

What really gets me is that December run where we suddenly found the formlua to make the team tick. Scoring goals for fun and looking like a proper team and then Barnsley away from about 35 mins in we have looked like a team of strangers with no clear pattern of play.

Today DH said some players were not showing enough application and harsh words were said and after the game players were having a go at each other.

Has DH lost the dressing room? Or is he tactically deficient to get the team onto a plan B in games?

Strange late on substitutions making no sense.

How have we managed to regress to pre December standards?

At 3.15 I was confident we would stop up but at 4.50 I am genuinely concerned that this result and the manner in which it happened will hammer out any fight left in the team. I will be surprised if we win 4 more games this season.

 

We signed players in January or a lack of them which meant we didn’t really give ourselves an option of a plan B.

Now the budget has maybe had an impact on that and if we are not willing to pay the going rate we couldn’t get anyone different.

But as someone said, think it was @BoingBoing, we got rid of McGowan with now no pressure on the CB’s left. Strange. As much as I didn’t rate McGowan as a CB we have nobody pushing two of our worst cbs in history for a start. It showed today.

Then we have a team then made up really of short term contracts and loans. When the chips are down like today are they ever really gonna put up a big fight? Or roll over? Know they can walk away in the summer.

 

I'd be happier if we won 1 but I won't be holding my breath if hopkin is still in charge.

 

They've got the balls to have an argument behind closed doors, but not to stick their head in to win the ball when a cross comes in. Or throw their bodies in for a last ditch block.

I don't think he's saying that @Keefly Bantam. I think he's pointing out there have been times this season when the likes of Wright, Jones, Riley certainly should have made the bench, but Hopkin though he'd freeze them out.
At the top table Jose Mourinho tried it with the likes of Pogba, Ole Gunnar Solskjær is not by any manner or means abetter coach than Jose Mourinho but it very looks like he has come in and told them to get on with what they do best ?.

 

I think that was down to not having a home grown player as someone posted earlier so had to leave a place empty

this is where i'm gonna give Walsall a hell of a lot of credit today. That performance had everything our pitiful, gutless team doesn't. Heart, desire and a will to come from behind with ten men. We can't even come from behind with 11 men this season. I know Walsall were playing arguably the worst team in the division but even they could have expected to given the runaround by a team with an extra man for 84 minutes, especially with the run of form they were on. Honestly, that is one of the most cowardly gutless displays i've ever seen from a Bradford City team and i'm embarrassed to say i paid good money to watch it. I'm sick of the excuses i've heard all season, from the players, from HopkinS, from various contributers to this and other social media platforms.
Today we were given a golden opportunity by a team woefully out of form and down to ten men to turn our season around. We failed. If we do go down, which looks highly likely, then its fully deserved and HopkinS needs to go.
