Onside. The posting from Hunt opens up with the only credible words in the submission "I have no evidence of this...'. You simply ignore that part, read the rest and off you go!

If I was to submit a post that said....I have it from a good source that Rupp is putting $xxxxx from his own pocket into the club each month but doesn't want it publicised as he likes to stay out of the limelight and let the club move forward.... would you jump on here and start thanking and praising him?

Leads me to ask the question. Does the level of a football club reflect the intelligence of its fans?

Well I will just highlight a few of your rant’s. You personally know he is dipping into his own pocket!! Oh well that is alright then, I feel totally assured now! Transparency is the key to keeping fans updated. Not Unknown’s coming onto a forum and giving it large because maybe false rumours are circulating. I will get a grip as you put it if I am treated as a fully grown up adult by this club. If Mr Rupp wishes to tell us this I am more than happy to sing his praises, as I would anyone who volunteers to put money in.

 

Onside. I wasn't saying he is putting money in. I was trying to highlight that the quote from Hunt opened up with a qualifying statement 'I have no evidence....' but that you jumped on everything after that. I have no idea if he is or isn't putting his hand in his pocket. I have no idea if he is or isn't taken a salary out of the club so my point was that I am not about to get all wrapped up in a posting that opens up with 'I have no evidence....'

As for Rupp treating you like an adult...well you have to act like one first.

It's a business if he provides funds he should certainly expect to get a return on them. If he provides input or spends his valuable time working on the club then he should expect to be compensated for it. Bradford City is not a charity, neither is Rupp.

If I asked you to give up one day a week from your current job, Lose a days pay and spend that day at Bradford City for no income would you do it? (Assuming you are working full time, have commitments etc if you are retired clearly it is a different situation)

I wouldn't do it and I wouldn't expect anyone else, including Rupp, to.

What is it about sporting clubs that we expect people to do things for free, just open their wallets and drop money in without any thought given to is it worth it? What am I getting back?

And you clearly didn't understand the (Get a) Grip (on yourself) reference :-(

Todays shambles is covered on other threads but just needed to say again how disappointing the leadership of the club has been throughout the recent abysmal and depressing events. No comment, no reassurance and very little sign of backbone - Julian in particular, you should have the club and the fans more at heart than the dreadful total silence from the top. The anger and disillusionment from most of the supporters is totally understandable and the lack of response is only fuelling these emotions. We can only hope Rupp and Rhodes silence cannot withstand much more from the awful mess Bowyer is making of our club
