I suppose that one way of looking at it, I think your he chose to leave us comment was a very hard decision to make but factually true.
Lets just say Edin told Rupp what he wanted to hear to calm the waters but he could not keep up his charade for ever.
Once Rupp found out about the true situation with regards the goings on at Valley Parade he made the deision to get rid of him.
Some will think the same way as yourself, others will say now the situation has changed he is only confirming what many have said about the goings on at our club.

 

Hope we keep Payne but i cant see Miller Ball or O'brien going back to their parent clubs until end of season. Can see Seedorf going back to wolves no loss there. Hopefully wright goes too then I am a bit unsure who Hopkin would then ship out at present. Probably 4 coming in a couple of defenders along with a wide player and striker is my guess.

 

After saturday ---- Heated fecking seats .

I sit A block lower kop , the roof just about covers above me , the wind / rain Saturday seemed to roll under the roof and come down in waves . !st half i was watching a balloon that appeared in our half it was swirling round it was hard to judge exactly which way the wind was blowing .

 

For once the game was more entertaining than a stray balloon or carrier bag...!!

 

I am k block in top tier the lads behind me are the ones who always do the ballons

 

I was in the West Stand, the driving rain was relentless, and because we had to celebrate 4 goals every time we stood up the seat was covered in rain. I have stood in cold weather before, but that driving icy rain was something else.

Whatever we need,seems likely to be loan signings in January. Hopkin has stated that 90% of incoming transfers will probably be loans. When you think our best outfield performers so far in O'Brien and Payne are loans means it may be no bad thing

 

The worrying thing about that is next season will virtually be a complete new squad that will be required.

 

True, but hopefully Hopkin will have much more idea on recruitment needs in the summer as opposed to the recent shambles under Herr Rahic and Abbo

 

He may as you say have his positions and players to fill those positions identified but they have still to gell because of the amout of loans and short term contracted playes in the squad.
Having said the above I cant see we have a choice unless he brings in 3/4 players he sees as players he wants to start rebuilding for next season rather than loans as you say.

 

Considering we're only allowed 5 loans in the matchday squad and we already have 4 in Payne, O'Brien, Ball and Miller, I'm quite surprised by that. Currently all 4 would be in the squad but we need at least 3 players to come straight into the line up, so not sure how loans are going to cover that.

 

Couple of wingers, a CB, a LB, couple of forwards.

 

Even if we lose Payne and replace him with another loan we're still in the same position. We really can only get 1 more loan and the rest will have to be permanent surely.

 

Chat I had yesterday indicated any permanent signings will totally depend on who DH can ship out of our own players (i.e. not loanees), I was told there are a couple of players he would like to sign on year and half deals but likely to only happen if we can free up a couple of places. To be honest if we could keep our current loanees, release at least a couple of dead-weights (remembering we have already released Hudson and Seedorf) and bring in 3 or 4 new players I think we would be happy.
