What are Rupp's Plans for City?

Should we be promoted then the summer will really show where we are and what Rupp's plans are. The current squad would be bottom half league 1 at best and would need some decent investment.

 

11 pages into this thread. I haven't seen one single name mentioned of this phantom investor who is not only prepared to buy the club but inject further cash into the club. Not one single name. They weren't exactly tripping up over each other to invest when we gained promotion and when we were beating premiership teams like Arsenal, Aston villa and Chelski.

 

Right. You can't name one single person can you Fordy? Not one. As such it's all nonsensical gibberish, a fantasy. We can all live in a fantasy world, it's not that difficult and of course I would love a rich investor to pop along and start spending the dosh.
I've seen precious little sign of that happening. There lies the problem. Bradford City have never really been an attractive proposition for investment and we all know that buying a football club is incredibly risky.
Where's the evidence?

 

Again, you aren't presenting facts. You are presenting a desire. You are asking someone to buy the club, invest in capital expenditure and presumably some sort of increase in the playing budget. My guess is that will take it to something approaching the £10 million+ that has already been mentioned. Please don't present this fantasy investor as being a fact or just a simple matter of Rupp saying that he'll sell tomorrow. Fact it is not.

 

The only person who's not getting it is yourself. You are effectively stating that there are definitely investors who are just waiting in the wings to buy the club and spend money on assets. As such you need to name these people. You seem absolutely certain that they exist. Name them.
What assets are you referring to? The stadium, the training ground?
How much does that cost? Real life figures would be nice.

 

FFS Fordy have you read the rest of this thread and the replies to your own previous comments. 10m isn't the figure Rupp says he wants, it is the amount @wetherbywhaler suggested would be required to buy the club and take it forward. I don't doubt there is someone out there who would buy the club. Throughout this thread, and others where you consistently insist there are buyers out there, I have said I don't believe there is anyone prepared to buy and also invest further to take the club where you, and to be fair the rest of us, want it to be.

 

I actually think that anyone moving in football circles will realise that the club is up for sale. It's obvious isn't it? A foreign owner with no interest in football or links to Bradford, who may have been partly duped in to buying in the first place, and has no wish to invest heavily again.
I would say that even though we haven't hung a sign on the door everyone knows we are for sale. So where are the buyers?

You keep guessing that there are no future plans for the club. Why don't you ask Mr Rupp/Mr Rhodes to sit down and discuss them with you personally rather than inanely ramble on here about the matter. You are like a stuck record.
While you are there you can also tell them we need to *ahem* "kick on" and also help them to locate these fantasy plots of land where you could buy and build a top class training facility for less than £3 million.

 

OK let me try to work out the plan for you. It might get a little complicated so please bear with me.

Get promoted this season.
Stay up
Then get promoted again.
Sell the club
Stay up
Then get promoted again.
Stay up.

Why on earth would you want an incomplete training facility?

 

I thought we were looking good for a possibly promotion place, that's positive.

 

Why don't you put yourself forward to help rupp to get things going forward after all you keep telling us all what an astute high flying businessman you are.
Or can't you leave the hand car wash incase you miss a customer.
