My head agrees over Parky not coming back. My heart says all day long. The head needs to rule this decision, and as I've said in a past post, I seriously doubt Parky is the kind of fellow that would go back on old ground. He's had the taste of a big club, why would he want to turn back the clock ten years to a time and place he knows would be almost impossible to emulate. Parky is a non starter. Lets leave him in the past and remember him well.

 

I don't think Parky coming back would work. What he had and what he did was so special that it would be virtually impossible to replicate short of winning the league in a 1984/ 85 style. Let's leave the past where it belongs and move forward.

 

As had Parkie. Peter Taylor on the other hand had several promotions on his CV and had managed England

 

All I have heard is Ryan knows very clearly who he wants - I know we have to get this decision right and RS will probably live or die by this decision but whatever the outcome he has shown he is a bit more than just Mr Soundbite as a certain regular poster would have us believe! Interestingly I have also heard the said person has already had a bit of input into our retained list which would also show this is not just Sparks panicing, he was not happy a few weeks back with how things were going and it looks like he was already planning for the end of the season. This could also explain (not excuse) to a degree some of the weird things that have been happening in the last few matches

Cringeworthy how excited people get over the possibility of someone with Oldham, Swindon and Salford on their cv managing us.

He has no experience of managing a club with a fan base as big as ours, managing expectations as big as ours, or delivering routine success.

He has had 1 good season and is far from proven. Don’t get too excited

 

Don’t get the Wellens love in. Be interested to hear why people think he’s any different to the last 5 appointments.

 

I do hope the Club get it right this time around. We are crying out for a long term plan and direction which will stabilise and enable us to bring back success. An appointment of profile to lift spirits and optimism would be most welcome.

 

You will be on the money again Simon no doubt but just one thing that got me thinking.
If the mystery man as had any input with the retain list surly he is unemployed.
If I found out a contracted employee was already involved with another club while been paid I wouldn't be best pleased.
Is that a fair assumption of the situation?

 

I can't help feeling that supporting Bradford City must be similar to what it feels like when you've got a cheating partner that you stay with despite them constantly philandering. You allow them back into your life, tell yourself that 'this time it's going to be different' only to discover that they've been seeing someone else a few months later. Manager after manager arrives and I tell myself 'this is the one, this time they're going to be successful'. Then usually within the same season, we're back to square one again. Forgive the negativity, but I'm going to expect the worst whilst hoping against hope that this time will be different.

As a player, 100%. He was excellent when he returned.

 

If it's Adams, or Flynn, for that matter, we'll have at least a 2 week wait to find out. The 2nd leg of the play-off semis are on 23rd May. If Wellens or A N Other isn't named in the next day or 2 and speculation rises, it's not likely to help either Morecambe or Newport focus on getting to Wembley.

 

Ryan Lowe apparently not happy down in Plymouth two promotions too. His style more exciting I want that style would rather lose 4.3 then 1.0 Would have him or adams or wellens

 

He signed a new contract in February so can't dislike it that much.

 

It's that comfort blanket that City fans constantly crave. There would be no guarantee whatsoever that Parky could bring any success at all back in another spell yet some clamour for his return. Its bizarre bahaviour FFS leave the past behind.

 

If it is I hope he has room to pack Mendes Gomes in his suitcase...
