We’ve spent more seasons in the Champ than L2.

Farsely Celtic would be more than a match for a lot of Scottish League 1 sides.
Harrogate Town would prove a very stiff test for most Scottish Championship sides!
Glasgow Rangers historically were a very wealthy club with huge backing. When the club folded, their supporters bought into the new club, and have helped to propel it forward.
Rangers as evidenced above play in a league which has plummeted from the heights of the 1960’s, when Celtic were the first British team to win the European Cup (not Manchester United!!!).
So your analogy although attractive, is deeply flawed.RonnieBrown likes this. -

Stay of the buckfast mate? We are in great danger of doing a Orient if we don't get rid of some of our jellyfish players. I would not worry about a 100 points at this moment in time

Why does a club with a pretty modern stadium need a more modern stadium again?

Just a few facts for you to consider.
For a simple example, you could catch the 13.25 from Bingley to arrive at Forster Square at 13.42, with a return at 17.11 arrive at Bingley 17.25. Return ticket £3.40
To get from Bingley to Low Moor, then you would have to leave at 12.38 to arrive at 13.36. The return would go at 17.22 from Low Moor and arrive at Bingley at 18.25! Return ticket £4.90.
So as Odsal is poorly served by trains and with fewer buses, journey time for many taking far longer, traveling to an exposed hill top area, with few facilities available, then I would say that your suggestion of relocating to Odsal is deeply flawed.
I wait to see if you can respond in a positive and constructive manner?Hulmebantam likes this. -
As a stadium Odsal has a lot of potential but it really does need vast amounts of dosh spending on it. Probably the best site has already been mentioned, the retail park next to the Midland station. It's central, just off a major ring road and next to a railway station. Oh and it's within staggering distance of N.Parade. That idea is for the fairies though, will never happen.

Chapel House, Guide Post, White Swan, Ancient Foresters, Garden Shed(the old Wibsey WMC) Market Tavern, Top House, Woodman, Red Lion, Q Gardens,Drop Kick.
Food Outlets,
New KFC on roundabout at Odsal, McDonalds, Pearls Tearoom & Patisserie, Toby Carvery, t' Chippy ( Odsal Top), Pizza Hut Halifax Rd Domino Pizza Manchester Rd and several fast food outlets in Wibsey itself that would certainly open early on a Saturday to catch football fans.Rogered Tart likes this. -

Just out of interest, if we moved to Odsal, other than football, what would you be going to Odsal for?
Valley Parade is a good location due to being so close to the city centre, theres a good selection of pubs on North Parade for those who enjoy a pre match pint.
Not quite sure what you think the majority of fans want on matchday, to warrant a move to another area, be interesting to hear what you meanBigrod likes this. -

It's a perfectly reasonable, civilised discussion. One of the few that hasn't descended into personal bickering recently. If you're bored with it, just stop reading.Jay likes this. -
No I'm just laid here with a stinking cold and contemplating the absolute stinking season to come unless we start behaving like a proper adult football club ! But a whisky might help thanks !
