In 2012-13 following financial irregularities at the club Rangers had to apply for re-election to the Scottish Football League. They were forced to start over again in the bottom tier Third Division with a ban on signing any new player over the age of 18. In the season that followed with their mass support at home and away they posted the following stats P36 W 25 D 8 L 3 F 89 A 27. Pts 83 To totally show their mastery and status of their situation and the absolute garbage they had to watch week in week out.

So I'm asking our situation is parallel can we have the nous and balls to be the Rangers of the Football League Dog n Duck Division in 2019-20 ? Can we live up to our status when compared to the absolute pile of crapp we are up against week in week out or will be simply have no stomach for it and hide cowering in the corners at every twist and turn of the football shit fest they've inflicted upon on us ?

So putting it into statistics can this football club start living up to its indisputable position as the biggest football club playing competitive football in the lowest tier of Football League in the full time professional game.

So to be the Rangers of the Dog n Duck Division in 2019-20 converting their 2012-13 stats over a 46 game season we need to

    W 32 D 10 L 4 F 114 A 34 Pts 106

So 100+ goals 100+ points and certainly no more than 4 defeats !!!

Again, such an essay full of absolute rubbish. We aren't Rangers, we're Bradford City and historically the bottom two division is where we belong, doesn't mean we shouldn't think that that is our ceiling but that is what history tells us.

For the life of me I can't understand why you spend so much time typing your posts out on both here and twitter when they're always full of such crap?

No I'm just laid here with a stinking cold and contemplating the absolute stinking season to come unless we start behaving like a proper adult football club ! But a whisky might help thanks !

We’ve spent more seasons in the Champ than L2.

One capable of displaying some sense of its standing measured against some the infantile zero history operations we'll be rubbing shoulders with in 8 weeks time ?

My point was that we've spent more time in the bottom two divisions than anything else which is right?

Eccleshill United would overwhelm most Scottish League 2 sides.

Farsely Celtic would be more than a match for a lot of Scottish League 1 sides.

Harrogate Town would prove a very stiff test for most Scottish Championship sides!

Glasgow Rangers historically were a very wealthy club with huge backing. When the club folded, their supporters bought into the new club, and have helped to propel it forward.

Rangers as evidenced above play in a league which has plummeted from the heights of the 1960’s, when Celtic were the first British team to win the European Cup (not Manchester United!!!).

So your analogy although attractive, is deeply flawed.

Stay of the buckfast mate? We are in great danger of doing a Orient if we don't get rid of some of our jellyfish players. I would not worry about a 100 points at this moment in time

What period are you sampling your data from? Our complete history, post WW1, post WW2? My time a a supporter, 68 onwards has seen a small number of years outside of the bottom two division (whatever you want to call them) and most of our time scrambling and scratching around lower leagues. I agree we should aim higher but before you move on you need to accept, determine why this is/was the case and then make the necessary changes. However, if I am completely honest with myself, although for a town this size we SHOULD be higher up, we won't be. Our level is League 1 with the odd run at and in the Championship and the odd year in League 2.

If I may express a further opinion. Something to stimulate some debate....I hope debate but likely shouting and vitriol.

Until we move out of Manningham and VP, build a ground that can meet our needs and provide an income stream then we are doomed to keep repeating. We need to take a leaf out of Lutons book. They have been looking to leave Kennilworth Road for years. They recognised that no matter how much they redeveloped it, where it was and the restrictions on any development were never going to put them in a position to move forward. I believe VP and the area around VP does the same to us. I get the attachment but history and nostalgia doesn't pay the bills.

I think we have had this debate on numerous occasions. Bradford is in the Pennines. Given the topography there are very few sites which could readily hold a suitable stadium, which are near a range of vital transport links. Luton are building a smaller stadium than VP. Where do you think this stadium should be located?

I’m not trying to be funny, but how do you come to that conclusion?

    Prem: 12 years
    Champ: 30 years
    L1: 39 years
    L2: 23 years

7 of those season’s spent in L2 have come in the last decade. Historically speaking, we’re a top half L1 - lower Championship club.

So no, we haven’t spent the majority of our existence in lower 2 divisions.

As per my post above, my data is historical.

We’ve spent more season’s in the Champ than L2. Fact. Bottom line.

I don’t know what else you want me to say.
