    A 4m budget and a 3m overspend.

So, without a cup run, we can basically self generate a sustainable budget of £1m.

Great idea, these cheap season tickets.

Any idea what the TV revenue is in league one compared to the khazi league? Seem to remember its quite a significant chunk of income in league 1.

Do disagree with this whole idea of season tickets making the club rubbish, Simple maths, 13,500 * 149 = 2,011,500. if they increased the season tickets by £50 they would have to sell 10,108 season tickets just to match that. On top of that you have less fans who wouldn't buy merch, drinks and food ect.

keeping the price the same was the right decision.

No idea. However, it is common knowledge that L2 is way below L1 in revenue - But L2 Clubs welcome it anyway as crowd numbers are generally not that great. (On TV or not !!)

Forgive me ............ BUT - I think next seasons ST's are cheaper than this seasons ?
However, attendances DO have an impact on on merch etc and commercial income.

Where do you get £3m overspend from? The article says £2m, and that is repeated in the comments.

Kids tickets are up, concessions gone, there is a steady trickle of youngsters moving to adults and there a couple of minor new charges like for seat moving. I doubt there is a big drop thanks to these. The biggest difference this year is likely to be a larger flexi ratio - though that can be beneficial if we start well.

    https://www.bradfordcityfc.co.uk/news/2017/march/1718-season-tickets-now-on-sale---be-part-of-team-twenty/

"With the club honouring their pledge to keep football accessible to all, this ambitious figure would reinforce the club as one of the best supported in the country with an adult season ticket still only £149.00!"

Did the same as last season, increased the prices in April. The early bird prices for both seasons were £149.

EDIT: This is 17/18 season, 18/19 was £169!! Completely forgot

Fair enough, Still think this is the best outcome regardless. More footfall generates more match day income. Point still stands :p

PL solidarity pay is £680k in L1 and £450k in L2
The EFL gives each club about the same give or take a bit.

On these figures it’s down by about £500k or so from £1.4m to £0.9m.

A pittance compared to the £4-5m a week the PL piss away on agents’ fees.

The prices should have been raised the season we got to Wembley, when we didn’t know what league we’d be in. However to have done it on the back of this season would have been idiotic, if we get promoted then we should raise them though, but you can only raise them when you’re seeing success on the pitch if you don’t want to see a big decline in numbers.

There will be around 1.5 to 2mil from season tickets
Match day tickets will generate income too - its £25 on match day and £20 if you buy 24hrs in advance
Sponsorship of club, stands, kits, ball all make revenue
merchandise, food, drink on match days
    boxes, suite upgrades, hospitality deals
Ifollow revenue and fees from local radio
corporate events in the function rooms throughout the year

Theres a ton of ways the club makes money to suggest its only £1million a year is way off the mark.

I’d rather pursue a policy of building a quality side and then charging the going rate to the public for watching it.

We have no idea what would happen to numbers if prices went up - it’s a question of timing.

If we have a successful season in League Two and win promotion, we MUST increase prices back to £200 minimum. Unless we increase revenue, we’re going nowhere.

Maybe I’ve got my numbers wrong. I thought that over recent weeks that actual overspend was mooted to be nearer 3m than 2m.

You think affordable football is the cause of our problems it’s not much bigger gates bigger takings in the shop more franchise money in catering a far better prospect for sponsorship. Affordable football stands us out and it’s great

Put season tickets at £199. An extra £50 received from each season ticket renewed by the deadline. I think season tickets were £199 before the £149 hashtag era began?

£199 is still a very good price for 23 matches of football and that would mean a bit of extra cash for the club without going so overboard that people consider holding back.

Also put the prices up by the same £50 after the deadline to make season tickets £275 rather than the current £225.

Flexicards might become redundant if the club wanted to increase profits on those to the same level unless people are willing to pay an initial £100 for them. £90 for a flexicard before the deadline might be a fairer compromise.

And still lost several thousand renewing. Instead of 14k renewing at £149, how many would we have got had we kept the price at £170 or even increased to to £199?

I’d guess less than the 14k sold
