His point has nothing to do with that mate. It this.

If for example Man City wanted to spend 200m don't put that debt on the club because if anything happens the club has it's the club that will suffer. You make money by buying assets and then selling rights. The Rhodes way of running the club is utter bull shit and now our owner is putting debt on the club and using it as a bank.

The owners of lower league clubs are the problem not salary capping. Like Neville said rich owners will always come alone to buy football clubs. My problem is most owners don't care about the fan the pitch, the fans to protect the clubs.

I'd like Jordy Hiwula back I believe it would mean one of the likes of Donaldson, Vaughan, Novak or Guthrie going first.

the Don needs to hang up his boots, 36 year old crock, 5 goals in two years is shocking and only gonna get worse, even Hanson would be a major upgrade! Hiwula would do well for us.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clayton_Donaldson

John Stead was a much better player for me, I just don’t see the Don as the answer for a team with any aspirations of promotion unless you have a goals laden midfield, something we have struggled with for years now.

His stats since leaving us read 12 in 53, 13 in 43 and 4 in 18. Never in a million years is he a replacement for Vaughan although it sounds like the sort of thing we’d do tbf

That wasn't what i asked, i want to know how the Nevilles, Scholes etc finance the running of a multi million pound outfit with little in the way of income coming in. How are they servicing this debt that gets bigger every year for Salford? It ain't coming out of their pocket, they might have an initial investment but they are not in it to lose money. Neither is Peter Lim, so what is point of Salford? I've read talk of the team being a long term vision for an aspring academy and that could make sense. Put the big investment in first then hope to recoup some back in the future.

For all the talk of our so called potential a side that was playing in front on one man and his dog a few years ago now has more investment and spending power than we do. Without that sort of backing there is no potential.

How you looking at debt? Improving the stadium? New training ground...These are assets mate. From that you get better sponsorship deals.

The debt isn't on the club like Bradford.

The debt isn't on the club like Bradford. I believe last year they wanted to manage exceptions and lower them but they invest off the pitch. It's a must to do that in football now! Bradford a light years beyond with a business model that doesn't work and puts the club at risk.

We're in League Two and the only players most fans have heard of are ones that played for us.

    And Jay Spearing.

What i'm trying to get at is Salford are running on a budget comparable if not bigger than ours. I'm just intrigued to know what they see their future as? Because we sure as hell don't have a future plan bar waiting to see what happens at the end of every season. Be interestng to know how Messrs Rupp and Rhodes aim to grow what is a business into one that ultimately is self sufficient in an industry where you can count on one had the amount of clubs that actually are self sustainable. rupp ain't gonna back it for much longer and i don't see no goose dropping gloden eggs in the form of Oli McBurnie any time soon. nd those cup runs come round once a blue moon.

I think its more to do with most of the teams are shite in this league u very rarely see a player stand out in a game. Crewe had a few decent players like charlie kirk and ryan broom at Cheltenham is a good player but there isnt many more that stand out

Teams like Crewe, Swindon and Plymouth stood out like a sore thumb in a generally poor division last season. Its hard to describe just how far behind these teams we were in terms of football recruitment and style of football. I could count on one hand the amount of decent performances last season, the amount of dsgraceful performances were probably 3 or 4 times as many. Thats how far we have fallen as a club. Woeful performances, no real tangible assets on the pitch bar probably Connor Wood, a non existant midfield, a central defence where not one of them complements each other and strike force whose ages are heading toward masters football. That ain't a plan, thats just making the numbers up and hoping the good lord shits you a cup run.

Well yeah but didn't want to start a riot on here. He wasn't good after he left in January again for Swindon but will probably score a hat full at Bolton.

3 teams that attacked a poor league. Bowyer just bored everyone and it was only a matter of team before we started slipping down the league.

The club has fallen massively. We need to rebuild with quality and play with style.

I agree but it's easier said than done. It's hard to describe how bad a team we were last season, at times it was pitiful, a club with no strategy on or off the field. Just expecting the fans to turn up week in week out like gullible fools. This club is gonna take a manager longer than 12 months to turn around, management like Rahic gave us won't turn itself round quickly.
