Its unreal isn't it? We just go round in circles each season. No direction or communication from the owner/board, no transfer targets, no budget for players AND a pitch that is an embarrassment. Repeat.

Do the Liverpool fans have a forum similar to BT? I'm sure they do and no doubt it will be the best since it's Liverpool. Maybe you could spend some time on there (a lot of time to be exact!) learning how the 'best' do it and then bring your experience back here to help us learn from the best ...in say 2 or 3 years time! ;)

If we kept Vaughan I’d have him. Play him out right or left of a front 3. Maybe Ismail on other side if he’s ever fit. But wouldn’t get rid of Vaughan for him

So that means the mighty Akinfenwa is now a championship player.
Bet the defenders in the championship are looking forward to marking him.

I know , we are were we are , it wont ever change . Lets face it who would invest in a club with no ground - no training facillities small fan base ( cheap ST's artificially inflate the figures ) . Richmond knackerd this club big time nearly bankrupted us, and walked away with a pretty packet . We should be able to to compete at least championship level , Rahic and Rupp conned Lawn and Rhodes and the vast majority of City fans . We've gone from Championship hopefulls to Lge 2 also rans during the new owners tenure . The answer ? i haven't a clue , even me a supporter for 55 years nearly stopped going after the Carlisle away debacle , i doubt i will renew my ST this season . I travel a fair distance ( a lot do ) to watch the dross on show , but i've supported the club through worse times than the current situation but the core base of fans ( about 9k ) is dwindling rapidly . I'm not sure of Rupps intentions but his " investment " will be looking pretty sick at the moment , that ( imoh ) is the crux of the matter , does he sell out for a stupid sum , or invest to gain at least 1 promotion and then sell ? . Either ways it's going to be yet another rollercoaster ride at VP .

Haha and I forgot the most important bit. Defenders just can't cope with him.

You and me both Offy Carlisle away finished me off then Morecambe at home just convinced me even more
The younger generation fans have all but deserted us and now the "older end" have had enough
Mr Rupp either needs to pick the club up by the scruff of the neck and get us back on track or move over and let someone else have a go at the moment we are very much in limbo.

Only bit I take issue with is the bit about Richmond. Gave us a dream, then blew it. But that was best part of 20 years ago. We need to stop harking back to it like he somehow destroyed what this club had. What exactly did this club have before Richmond arrived? Nothing, a club going backwards. All the club did after Richmond left was go back to its rightful position in the lower league. You're right in we are what we are, I guess some are just a bit sick of that.

Even in the PL we struggled to fill the ground , Richmond spent more than we had it went bottoms up with the TV deal falling through , he had a rush of blood sacked Jewell and basically did a Rahic and signed journeymen footballers out for a final paydeal . Like you say he was a " Marmite " chairman . Even with that in mind we should have been able to at least stay in the championship . Gibbs did us no favours ( although at the time seemed like a saviour ) he's saddled us with a large mainly falling to bits stadium with a large annual fee . That debt alone takes a large chunk of our yearly income , i'd doubt the matchday takings cover it , we are in the doldrums which i really can't see changing in the near future .

All thought Davies under PP for us nullified him.

Lost me there. I'm talking about Dylan Connolly who played for us last season? Did he play against us back then?

Davies absolutely nullified Akinfenwa several times.

Davies was a serious contender for the most dominant aerial player in League Two that season.

    Absolutely.

What is the plan this season and next season, and the one after that? There isn't one that I know of.

The club is in danger of fading into darkness whilst the Wycombes and Leeds of this world enjoy the sunshine.

Rupp really is in a dilemma, does he stick or twist? Even he must have an exit strategy, because unless he's going to relocate to the area, what's the point for him? He's losing money every year, season tickets will be down, attendances could be restricted, he used his final 'get out of jail free card' in bringing McCall back and if that fails, what next?

Does he back Stuart in this transfer window by paying up the contracts of some of the deadwood and bringing in players with a longer shelf life or does he continue along with Rhodes, to stumble from one crisis to the next?

It really is time to s#$t or get off the pot.

The plan is written on the back of a fag packet it says "same again survival" we are stagnant and have been ever since Parkinson left
We need a manager with the balls to whip the whole club top to bottom in to shape someone like a Neil Warnock a McCall/Warnock management team in January would have seen us comfortably in the Play Offs last season but that was way out of our comfort zone
Thinking Mr Rupp may relocate to this area is nearly as far fetched as him having an exit strategy we are a blot on his company portfolio to be ignored/propped up to save the embarrassment of one of his companies failing
Unless transfer funds are made available Stuart won't be here at Chrismas quite rightly he will say for the love of the club he can't do anymore and will let someone else.have a chance (de ja vu)
The "pot" as you describe is like our ambition well and truly hidden and won't be seen anytime soon

We can’t keep blaming Richmond for ever. Yes the stadium costs a lot, but how many clubs with a smaller wage budget have been promoted? Are Wycombe seriously spending that much more on players than City a Division below? Accrington, probably have a wage budget half that of City. Where are they? That’s not stadium cost related.

There becomes a point when you have to stop looking at Richmond as certain websites do and start asking why City spend so much on players every single year and fail to achieve every single year. It’s a culture of living from season to season with no forethought for the future in my opinion.
