I can believe we don't have at least one scout. I just checked the club records to see if we do have one ,but we don't. Surely this is an important position to fill if we are going to get anywhere? Can't cost much to get a scout. Send Drury out an about in his car - can't do much worse.
And while we're at it, what exactly does Alan Biggin (FCA) do?

 

Yeah workmanlike teams, which explains why physical Parky and Evans-type teams do well.

But when good passing sides play us, all the players look fairly similar - ie, Exeter.

Balance of the team is waaaaay more important than the individual players at this level. Which draws into question the point of analysing every single signing, actually.

The players that do tend to stand out to me are generally wingers.

 

I always like Hiwula, but the player i would love to see back is Connolly. I know he wasn't the best finisher but he seemed to love it here, always gave it everything and I bet he's cheap

Nah teams come to VP with a plan...Don't get beat. Side will be happy to walk away with a point as we have 14k fans behind us and then be more attack at home or against most other sides in the league. Problem with Bowyer is he was just boring without going on the attack. He was a dreadful manager for us.

 

Decide on the system you want as a manager then recruit accordingly. Bowyer never had a system at all, the one time he came close was when he went ultra defensive and eeked out a few results but it was painful viewing. First and foremost you need a central defensive pairing that want to work together and a player that anchors midfielder. That midfielder never arrived and the 3 CBs never complemented each other. Worryingly we're still stuck with those three.

 

Bowyer should never ever ever been appointed as manager here. Like Hopkin, Collins it was clear he was wrong for this club.

his club needs a Holloway or something if it's not McCall or a young manager that's known in the football world.

So now bloody Wycombe are 2 leagues above us -Unbelievable! Time City fans starts understanding that Rhodes and Rupp shouldn't be hiding as this club urgently needs direction. Club going nowhere and far too many fans happy with that but claim to be superfans because they won't claim a refund.

 

Talking of budgets, well done to Wycombe, who must have smallest in league 1, on being promoted to the Championship. Gareth Ainsworth is one hell of a manager and shows how it can be done without splashing the cash on so called big names

 

Mate, I have said it before that you learn from the best. The best team in the Europe, the World and England are Liverpool and look at their net spend compared to the others around the world.

You need direction from the owners and a good manager that knows how to make players better and has a plan. - It's not hard!

Unfortunately we have Rhodes and Rupp who won't take this club forward because they don't have a plan about from cheap season tickets.

Parky had a plan and we were lucky he did, so we can only hope McCall does because if not the likes of Harrogate or Halifax will be overtaking us soon.

Maybe 3rd /4th best in world , Barcelona - Real Madrid , Bayern are well in front of Liverpool . You do realise that this is a forum for a lge 2 club dont you ? , why the constant Liverpool points ?.

Ainsworth has done really well, surprised no one from the championship has come in for him.

 

Not going to win the CL or World team cup this season are they , and winning the PL this season puts them on a par with Blackburn and Leicester who have also won the the PL once . Bradford City have there own identity despite what you may think .

We do, its a club that generally bounces between league 1 and league 2. Thank our lucky starts big Goeff came along to inject some rare ambition because without him we're just another Rochdale or Oldham.

 

I believe that when signing new players Stuart will need to take in to account how the state of the pitch gets throught the season. You cant play the passing game on our pitch at the end of the season. So will need players that can cope with it.
