Bostwick hasn't played midfield for any lengthy spell since his second to last season with Posh, full on CB now. Cant see us bringing in any/many players outside positions that are filled up.

Woodyard, Reeves & Watmore are incredibly injury prone. Think Woodyard & Reeves will likely drop to L2 but Watmore will get another shot higher up if he's fit. Sunderland released him because he was still on 20K a week PL contract.

Khan looks to have had a good 6 month spell when we were linked with him and thats about it for his career. Although same could have been said for Mark Marshalls career until Stuart put his arm around him.

 

It was smart business mate. Firmly pulled Bradford pants down and he did a job for you all. Swindon are now a div 1 club and Bradford stay in div 2.

I read Swindon offered him a contract but like any contract it does depend on the terms. My feeling your contract offers are to please the fans and it's more of a case of we offered them something but... you shout out about contracts when signed.

My thoughts is if a northern club offers him what he wants then he won't stay at Swindon. Swindon are meant to be in financial trouble and Doyle can command what he wants to a degree in div 2.

 

Not at all I posted on here you may have offered him more security with possibly a two year deal, I was genuinely surprised you couldn't come to some sort of deal with a lad who will get you double fingers goal wise in league one.
Any update on your situation with regards the ownership etc ?.

 

He was our leading goalscorer in div 1 and scored over 20 goals in div 2..I don't think he will be short of offers in the summer.

As for his high wages that's Bradford fault not Doyle's

 

He'll have plenty of options , don't you worry.
If he's live's in the Merseyside area as WW alluded too, I woudn't be suprised if he ended up at Salford.
They binned off Rooney , his wages will have been decent

Been offered a new contract today by Swindon.

 

Not even wishful thinking, it as my grandson who mentioned he'd been given a free hence my comment with regards it being posted before, the piece he sent me was dated 12 June.

 

As I posted if Swindon play with a similar formation Doyle will get double figures and upwards, not too sure I'd be in a hurry to sign for a club with problems even @Swindon said they didnt want landing with a big earner, maybe the way round that is a 30 month contract at a lower salary.

 

Why announce that?

Word is we got about half of what Swindon offered at the start of January and paid his wages for a month.

 

I had no idea he was still contracted to Peterborough, I had (wrongly) assumed Hull had signed him.

Still, zero relevance to League Two. He's a limited player, but there's every chance a Championship club gambles on his long range passing as another option.

I'm so pleased Eoin Doyle is no longer at Bradford City, wish him all the best and that, but he was abysmal for us - a very poor signing, but that's all we seemed to manage during the Rahic era - duff signing after duff signing, and never because the players weren't any good (except in the case of the German imports), all because we had no idea what we were doing.

I can now enjoy Eoin's work from afar, which is what we should have been doing most of last season rather than licking our wounds and feeling sorry for ourselves for signing yet another totally unsuitable player we needed to build the team around (but inevitably, didn't come close to doing so).

It was such an annoying period to have loaned him to a club he suited, and having to hear gibbering bleatings about how we were stupid to let him go because he would have done that for us. Absolutely not. Absolutely, categorically not.

 

All quiet on that front. Strangely, Power hasn’t been seen or said one word since we got promoted - no word of thanks to Wellens and the players. The judge told all parties to sort it out between themselves and not to go back to court. I honestly don’t think he’ll be around for long but have no idea who’ll possibly take over. I think his exit strategy was to chuck (somebody else’s) money at getting promoted and then sell a L1 club. Covid has probably but the kibosh on that. As you lot know only too well, us fans have no control over who buys/controls/ruins our club.

 

Well considering he was here for the most of Jan that's that bit solved. As we would have paid his Jan wages.
