Why would he drop a division after doing so well with Wimbledon last season?

 

Maybe Rupp is actually putting some money in to get us back to league 1 or the takeover rumour could be true

 

If it's a loan I doubt finances are really relevant.

 

Shaun Pearson currently with Wrexham, out of contract I believe, experienced and was in the National League team of the season? Centre Back, over 300 games (majority in the national league) and gets a few goals too.

 

I'll take him if he's half as good as that other young keeper we had, just forget his name .

 

Apparently had a very impressive few months on loan with the Wombles, and was called up to train with the England squad under Southgate in March. Cannot see Bournemouth wanting him to play 4th tier football next season

 

Do we not pay for loans? Jack Payne must have been free all last year!!

 

Just a feeling mate, nothing more. We gave them a trial and then a couple of days later, Bowyer was in the press talking about players and agents wanting too much just to play in L2

 

Has to be better than O'donnell then but I would like us to go for Matt Gilks if available, better to have a very experienced goalie at this level

 

I'd be amazed if players playing that low down the pyramid were wanting anything much at all. I think bowyer was referring to established league 2 players in all honesty.

 

That's true but Payne was on fortunes, I don't imagine Ramsdale will be. And even if he is, it all depends on what percentage the parent club wants us to pay

 

Only 6ft tall so not tall enough for Boywer, Need to be at least 6.4 to get in his defence

 

We should be going for a keeper like joe day from Newport if they go up, Danny Cowley said he's probably the best keeper in league two at Newport with 2nd lowest budget. Proven in league two, that's what we need to get out this league

Our Summer activity will speak volumes of where we are, and headed in the short term. I only hope that our fellow posters adjust their expectations in line with any activity, for if they don't and things go bad, it'll be Hell on here.

 

Cheer up Ron. We have already shown we can compete for players against the likes of Accrington Stanley.

 

Sorry bud. We may have reached the bottom of the bowl and levelled out, as it were - But it's still gonna be one Helluva climb back to the rim. One season won't cut it, but two might - in the right hands.

 

Joe Maguire - Knows GB. Spent last season at Crawley Town and made 31 appearances. 5 FT 10, 23 year old.

Wouldn't cost too much on the wages. I wonder if we are in for him.

 

He'll stay with them if they go up, he won't want to drop down a division.
