He certainly is better than McCartan but unfortunately McCartan is still here and so doubt Billy will be rejoining.

Hope Billy gets a club though and if McCartan does go in Jan he could come back.

I was against him rejoining us in a div 1 relegation fight when we had Payne, Ball & Butterfield was joining or joined but now Devitt is injured & McCartan is just sh&te I wouldn't be against just can't see it because of McCartan so let's move on and wish him well.

 

Read some garbage on here in my time but that’s up there. Any money left (I doubt there’s any anyway) has to go on a ball winner surely. Not on a player who did alright years ago out of pity.

 

Do not put words in my post, nowhere have I suggested signing him, but he is a good ball player who is better than one or two we have but his time at City is past,

 

Billy is far too good to be a free agent for too long. I'm sure he'll get a club soon. we shouldn't have released him.

 

He's another year older and slower no doubt. If he was really that good he wouldn't be out of job.
He isn't what we need unfortunately, we need players who will be useful to us beyond this season.

The person who thinks we should not have released him, is the same one who reckons Parky is a fraud, and McCall was a better manager than Parky here. Enough said

I can't really pinpoint the exact date but you've morphed from someone with decent views to a strange combination of Abbo and Butterfield. It's like you deliberately portray yourself as liking to be different.

 

because I happen to rate Billy Clarke as a footballer, and think Stuart McCall's time here is harshly judged?

And ROD is an awful keeper and needs replacing immediately .......

okay. so. I don't rate our GK, I think Clarke is a decent player at our level, and I think McCall did a fairly decent job.

Find me anopther poster on here that agrees with all 3 of those statements and I'll issue an apology and fully retract my statement. (even though you're deliberately playing down the McCall/Parkinson view).

Tbf, prior to this summer I'd have agreed with you on all 3 points. ROD is redeeming himself somewhat and emphasizing just how much a keepers performance is impacted by the team in front of him.
