So many unknown quantities thrown together at short notice is going to take time to gel. How much time Bowyer has is unsure but he can't say he doesn't have options now, probably too many. Gonna be a lot of bench warming going on with a few frustrated players and its anyones guess as too which ones will be the frustrated ones.

 

I think Bowyer will get a while. As long as he doesn't go on a 7/8 losing streak.

They will give him time. Isn't cheap sacking managers and failure after failure since McCall went.

 

It’s all irrelevant now. We now know what we have until January. Bowyer has added pace as he suggested he would. It’s up to him to get them playing now. I’m supporting him but can see goodwill is already starting to ebb. He needs to get it right sharpish to keep the fans onside.

 

He only signed a 2 year contract.

He's had time already. He needs to kick on now and prove his worth to the City fans. Talk is cheap!

yeah i don't think we can afford to sack another manager after Edin went mental with the bank account. Its gonna be interesting to see how Bowyer fits the new players in cos at the moment i've no idea who starts and when.

 

I know absolutely nothing about either of today’s 2 new signings, however, I’m fully aware that despite being told we wouldn’t be relying on loan signings this season we have 5. I can almost already feel the “will be stay / will he go” shite fest that we had last season come January. Apart from Rahic, that was the biggest f*ck up of last season and a huge reason we went down with an abysmal team spirit

 

He’s got good options all over he’s not excuses now the squad is easily strong enough for promotion if he gets it right

 

Collins was 100% the wrong appointment and shouldn't have been appointed in the 1st place.

Football is about results. Bowyer will get sacked if he fails to gain decent results.

 

True and it was irresponsible. But playing devils advocate, I remember fans going ballistic in season two because he was tightening the purse strings and wouldn't give Rory 3 years and bringing in cheap players for the development squad.

Sometimes owners can't win. He chased rainbows and it backfired tremendously.

And yeh, he was an egomaniac too.

 

But 6 games wasn't long enough. That's a fact.

 

Rory is a good point. It would have been easy to let emotion cloud judgement and give him a three year deal, yet he left us to get his three year deal and now finds himself rooted to the bottom of league 2. Its an impossible task for owners, get promotion and fans expect you to be competing the year after, i think if you are going to chase the dream then you go balls out to get it like Richmond did. Eventually you will end up back at your natural level without a sugar daddy.

 

Not been 6 games since he has been here and that's a FACT.

One thing that would stop some panic for me and give us a welcome boost before Saturday would be to bin off Drury back to the reserves/ youth team and bring in Mcphillips with our saved wages and mcburnie money.

Bowyer needs that sound board and That experienced head to tell him when to stop tinkering etc.
