It's not a loser's mentality, it's a rational response to what has happened so far and what GB himself has said about needing three windows.

 

36? That'll do. At least it only leaves another 4 games for Akpan to start.

 

It's not rational at all.

We've an owner that isn't interested in football and could pull out at anytime.

The only thing that would stop that happening is pomotion and that will be his aim, the managers aim and Mr Rhodes aim. It's certainly the fans aim.

Bowyer's take of 2-3 windows is just to give him time to manage expectations but he will be wanting pomotion for sure. He didn't join the club to be a div 2 manager for long.

Don't be sucker! Don't suck into general comments by managers to take pressure off them.

If pomotion isn't the aim we wouldn't of signed about 15 players and certainly not Vaughan & Donaldaon.

 

I'm not taking pressure off him. I'm steadily coming round to your view of him. I just don't think he shows the sense of urgency that so many fans have.

 

And he's 6'1" .

 

This is a strong squad for this level. It’s now up to the manager to decide what’s his best eleven I personally hope he goes 442 I think we have the players to suit especially now with two wingers signed.

 

He doesn't because he's failing to gain results. We brought him in early to get ready for this season and he doesn't know his ar&e from his elbow at this minute.

The aim of the club is pomotion. Don't be fooled to thinking otherwise.

 

Who are you playing central if we go with two wingers?

I love how you call it pomotion Fordy, it always makes me chuckle. Please don't ever stop doing it.

 

I would have Cooke and Devitt with ishmail or Donnelly on one wing and Pritchard who can tuck in on the other

 

Of course promotion is the aim it has to be

 

So we basically know what the starting back four and keeper are and the front two pick themselves.

Four places for Palmer, Ismail, Devine, Anderson, Akpan, McCartan, Devitt, Pritchard, Cooke, Connolly and Gibson, We might have a settled side by Christmas.

 

Will throw Reeves and Robinson in to add more problems.

 

I'd be highly surprised if either of them played again.

 

Same but might as well throw them in for the fun of it.

 

I don't think we're any nearer to finding a settled system after the last few signings.

We've signed two wingers in the last week as well as Ismail being back (apparently) so you'd imagine we'll be playing with width. So that realistically leaves 442 or 433.

442 means we can play two of pritchard/ismail/Connolly and Donaldson and vaughan can play as a partnership. Problem is we don't have the balance in midfield to only play 2 bodies in there.

433 means we get an extra body in midfield - the best starting 3 is devitt, palmer and cooke. Looks too attack minded but that's bowyers fault. But surely that's the three he'll go with considering they haven't joined on loan to bench warm plus they're all better than akpan, devine or anderson who are the alternatives. Negative is Donaldson and vaughan won't play as a partnership. Donaldson will either play wide or be dropped in favour of a winger.

Just bizarre and it looks like formation bingo is here to stay.

 

We've signed lots of players. I'd rather have emphasised quality.

Hes been well backed, but I'm perplexed that we haven't signed a midfielder who can tackle. Its league 2, its one of the base requirements.

 

442 means bypassing midfield a lot of the time and requires two hard working midfielders to support Donaldson. Yes it’s attacking but that’s what we want isn’t it

 

There's attacking and then there's being suicidal. I don't think 442 will work with the personnel we have but I suppose we'll see if/when we play it.
