I have seen Akpan play worse, but decent he wasnt. I have seen tankers in the sea turn faster. He should be nowhere near the team.

Devine was even less effective

He wasn’t our worst player today, but still had very little impact on the game.

Because him apart i'd struggle to think who else.

I’ve had another beer and cone to my senses mate. I agree with you Devine offers little but then so does Akpan. For all people going on about FGR, the way they sped away from our midfielders at times was embarrassing. Get rid ASAP,

 

The re-signing of both Anderson and Devine by Bowyer still baffles me. Cannot for the life of me think what he saw in either of them back end of last season to offer them new contracts. I know Devine was injured the majority but he must have seen something. I have no idea what though .
Akpan his hands were always tied as he was still in contract for the forthcoming season

I think both Cooke & Devitt will be infront of him anyway (My opinion) for his position (just behind the striker(s).
Personally think he'll be off before the window shuts, either loan or sale.

Anyone see Donaldson and Vaughan both follow Jaques Maghoma today? Coincidence since they were ex team mates of his? Or is there something in this?

 

Though he was very good at Burton that would be some signing.

 

Played nearly every game for Birmingham last season he won’t be coming here. Perhaps a striker as cover and that will be it for this window unless a big earner leaves

 

No chance with that one sadly, he's injured at the minute and is a regular in their side.

The forwards are and the defence seems to cope but the midfield wouldn't dominate in the blue square right now.

 

They didn't follow Jacques today, they've been following him for, literally, years.

Twitter, where this 'information' was taken from, lists the accounts that are being followed in linear order. If Jacques had recently been followed, he would be somewhere near the top of those lists.

For both Vaughan and Donaldson, he's nowhere the top for either - not surprising, since both played with Maghoma at Birmingham City years ago (16/17 respectively).

Nothing to see here, as everybody already pointed out.

 

I don't get the idea that playing Akpan is putting him the shop window. When he plays every man and his dog can see how crap he is. If we want to sell him surely it would be better to not play him and cultivate the myth that he is a championship quality player whose face doesn't fit at City.

 

I don't get why we offered Devine a new contract but we did.

Akpan hasn't been the best but Palmer, Devine have been awful overall. Think people need to stop the Akpan bashing and using him as an easy target.
