I'm sure he said in the next 48 hours in the post match interview on Saturday.

He did say that he was hoping so. However, today's comment doesnt suggest that. Maybe Rupp has changed his mind after seeing our latest result!

As things stand Rupp has invested nothing into the club. The least he can do is allow Bowyer to bring in one or 2 players.

We were sh@te on Saturday and if Mr Rupp is in Germany watching the results come in then maybe he should he should attend the games.

Bowyer is no fool.. he knows that we can't count on Devine in the midfield all season and we need better. Plus we need a LW and another forward.

Totally agree Fordy. Bowyer hinted post match that he had been pleased with Devine, but still has lots to do to improve, he knows he is not good enough to start every week, but is probably good bench cover, if we can bring somebody else in

Reading the T&A it certainly appears that none of the McBurnie money is going in the transfer fund. So unless they swallow it up they will have the bulk of Doyle’s wages say three grand a week to freshen things up. Not a lot in today’s market

Direct replacement for Doyle. (If we get to keep the Doyle money). I hope that's not it. We need midfield too.

Looks like my dream midfield of Ledley/Longstaff wont be happening then.

Given Riley is out for the season, is Caddis still available?

We already have 2 right backs with French as a 3rd choice if needed

I said all summer and in the McBurnie thread that Bowyer wasn't getting any of the sell on for McBurnie but most of you continued to get excited about McBurnie leaving.

3k a week is nothing now a days in football and if Mr Rupp is struggling or unwilling to back Bowyer now when it's clear or squad needs improvements then it's not promising for the future.

Hopefully, we can bring a midfielder in & a back up forward. Might be able to get away with not bringing in a LW if the forward is left footed.

Disappointing by Rhodes and Rupp this.

Not sure about Longstaff, but Ledley was always going to be a dream. Players like that dont get out of bed for the wages we are able to offer

Why on earth would the money freed up by loaning out Doyle be taken away from him? It doesn't make any sense, if Swindon hadn't taken him, we'd still be paying it anyway for a player likely to have been spending a lot of time bench warming. I'm pretty sure Bowyer would never have let him go if he was told he wouldn't be able to use the money freed up to bring others in, so to suggest that to him (if that's what has happened) after the deal is done is very underhand and is likely to result in one very hacked off manager. I sincerely hope there is nothing in this.

The releasing of funds is down to Rupp, not Rhodes

All of this is worrying. We were told that the majority of the McBurnie money would go to paying the debt off. Fair enough, saves Rupp having to dip in his pocket, despite the fact it was his partner that he trusted with the club’s credit card! So I thought that Bowyer would have money to buy players to strengthen the squad particularly the midfield. We now here this morning that there may also be a ? over the Doyle release of funds.

If we want out of this league, keeping our fingers crossed, on injuries, and form of the team is a massive gamble. Don’t half do the job! Yes I know GB said it might take a couple of windows to sort it out, but the engine of the team is the midfield, and our strikers and defence need to be able to rely on the midfield.

We are also dangerously close to a disaster up front if either or both Vaughan and Donaldson get injured or suspended. It would be utter madness to not bring in another forward.

Which is true but Rhodes is the middle man.
Bowyer will more than likely report into him and Rhodes needs to express the thoughts to Rupp.

Rhodes attendeds the games and he will see for himself that we need improvements.

What's the point in Rhodes if he can't convince Rupp to spend money when required?
