Sounds like Bowyer doesnt yet know whether funds will be made available to bring anyone else in. You would like to think Rupp, even with his limited knowledge of football, can see we are probably 2 more decent additions from being able to challenge for promotion

What I have heard is not if but how much, this will obviously have an impact on who we might be able to entice - as SR was in the UK over the weekend I guess this will have been a key topic of conversation

Has there been any interest from any teams in Anthony grant after he got shunned to Shrewsbury reserves for the season. He’d be perfect to play in a 442 alongside Palmer I think

 

He sounds a bit of a disruptive character, so if true, dont want him here

 

Disruptive? Because he's fallen out with his manager ? I've not heard of him being disruptive before this and he's a great player at this level.

 

When he left Chelsea (I think)as a youngster he played further upfield and the talk was with experience, it was just a matter of time when he would move up the divisions and I seem to remember us being linked with him from Southend. Looking at the teams he has played for and their progress whilst he has been there it's fair to say that his career has not blossomed as was hoped. There has been talk(no idea whether true or not) of his disruptiveness. He certainly has talent, I can remember him at Southend taking us apart.

 

You dont get banished to train with the youth team for a season without reason. Suggest it is more than just a tiff with the manager

 

a lot will be dependant on the structure of the sheff united and swansea deal and the way the payments are arranged. if that deal is spread over the length of mcburnie's contract through instalments then we'll get our % over the length of the deal too and not up front in one lump sum.. there might not be that much to work with immediately.

 

Maybe so but it doesn't mean he's a problem player just because it's happened after 1 season at 1 club in the 15 or so years he's been playing
