    Not at all keen on the idea of converting full backs to wingers. Conor Wood is poor defensively, particularly in regards to positioning, so he makes a degree of sense - but wingers need to possess a goal threat, and the idea of lads like Wood and Riley on the wing is much too defensive.

    Didn't go to Guiseley but he played the 45 against Liverpool on the right. Hope he plays on the right on his stronger foot.

    I'd argue Gibson has done more in the last two friendlies than Anderson has in his whole time here.

    My opinion is that anyone who couldn't see that Anderson significantly improved from when he made his debut to the season's end either wasn't paying attention or had already written him off and refused to acknowledge any positive evidence.
    Anderson came to us with no match fitness whatsoever, having struggled to regain his former form after two serious injuries. His performances definitely improved as he got more game time. He wasn't pulling up any trees, but it's hard to do that in a team that had become utterly dysfunctional by February/March time.

    There may be mitigating reasons around fitness and confidence. But 'significant improvement'? He went from 2/10 to about a 3/10 in one or two games.
