Well no coaching takes place as Drury isn't ready for this level hence why I feel we need decent players.

No one player improved last season and the decent ones started to go backwards.

He has a point though. If Rupp leaves, how do you know the buyer won’t try to run the club exactly the same? The only time we have spent more than we had, was under Richmond and how did that end?

Getting owners that are prepared to write off £2-£4m a year just isn’t likely. We’re no different than most clubs outside the top two tiers.

Don’t forget, there are no guarantees either. Whilst he didn’t know it at the time, he agreed to spend circa £2m more on the budget than we could afford and still went down. He’s always maintained that he believed we could get out of L1 without spending vast amounts. He also suggested that if we got to the Championship, that’s when he would need to spend... just to make us competitive.

 

Not entirely sure that’s what happened mate. It was more the case of Parkinson preferring Reid and not giving Marshall a chance. When we did see him, he did ok.

 

Over the years there have been ample chances for white knights to come riding in willing to put big money in . The reality is the next owners almost certainly will run the club on business lines as they have to. Otherwise the future of the club will be in doubt.

 

I agree, not sure what it is with some of our fans, its like clinging on to a comfort blanket. We could get rid and invest his wage elsewhere, that is if anyone is actually interested in signing him.

What uses does the stadium really have? Conferences? This is Bradford and the transport links are poor and nothing in surrounding areas. I doubt it’s a case that no one has thought of this before. We are a club located in a poor area with a fan base which has been been on cheap prices. I’m not sure how much more money there is to milk out

Probably. Yet I thought Donaldson would tbh, wage wise at least. Ledley is 32 and only played once for Derby last season according to wiki. Maybe hed be up for joining the revolution

However, the lad either HAS to adjust, or just play a number 10 role in the reserves. The way I see it ........ GB has little time for those 'old' #10 roles ........ WHEN and WHERE do you fit them in?

Todays lower league leading teams play HARD in defence, and quick to strike on the break. NOT a #10 game, then !!
