No, I support Bradford City but know they is no money to be earned in football if you own a football club outside of the PL.

If Rupp came into this to make money then he is going to have to put his hands in his pocket and wait.

If you think Rupp is an invester then maybe you're Edin because he's been fooled to think owning a football club is an investment.

For me Rupp taking the McBurnie money at this stage is a joke. We need all the money we can get to get out of this division but anyway.. transfers!

Last year despite our complete failure a good budget was set and again for this league a decent budget again. Under the circumstances I don’t think we can ask for much more from him

 

You should be an MP with the spin you put on things. Yes, he featured 38 times, scoring 7 goals, but he was only selected to start 23 of those games, coming on as a sub 15 times and staying on the bench a further 5 times. He only played for 50% of his available time. The damning stat is that of the 23 starts. He was subbed off 21 times. He only managed 2x 90mins all season.

His last International appearance was in June 2018, so not selected for any squad in the last 12mths.

I think he signed on good terms, so if we can save that money by allowing him to go for free, why wouldn’t we? We’d seriously hold out for a £50k-£100k transfer fee, even though it’ll cost us significantly more than that on his wages to keep him?

 

Hope he does RT. Out of all of them the priorities to get shut for now are Riley and AOC. I would like to get rid of Akpan too but Bowyer has worked with him before, if GB thinks he can get something from him I'll stay with it.

 

There is so much more to running a football club, than most imagine.

To invest is one thing - BUT, any investment just HAS to have some return, or it's NOT an investment. City need money, yes. Yet at the same time, City need to create money, beyond football. Then, and only then, can City truly invest in building a successful playing squad. City have various facilities, we just need to wake up, and be more savvy, to progress further.

 

The only way you get a return on an investment by buying a club like City, when they did, is by putting money in first. Whether that be investing in establishing a proper scouting system and buying quality players with resale in mind, or growing a youth development capability, or both, and taking the club to the championship, minimum.

If an ROI is what you’re after, as a general rule don’t buy a football club

Someone will always want to own a football club.

Rupp is worth 120 million euro and already crying about his investment.

We need a serious player if he leaves and someone that knows how to run a football club and understands losses will be made.
