VP is in the very Heart of the Asian community, where LARGE venues (with parking) are constantly sought for Weddings etc. So let's engage with our cousins, and make VP a viable option for them.

There are better more modern looking venues for that sort of thing in Bradford now. Off the top of my head i know of 3 pretty much new ones that are very impressive inside. All boils down to cost but the corporate areas do look outdated now. Badly need a refurb.

 

Agree there are, and if the club want to generate revenue from the likes of Asian wedding where the guests attend in 100's not dozens they need to refurbish the relevant suites.

 

Also the alcohol on the premises make it an instant no for many.

 

Fair point well made m8. This sort of thing can make a difference when looking at venues. Price is a big factor but so is the facilities and the layout. There are people out there better qualified to comment on commercial matters but i'd say Valley Parade is ready for a 60 minute makeover. Get dirty old Nick Knowles and his team of reprobates in to do a number on the place, tell em its for disabled kids or summat.

You're right Fordy. Serious investors won't go anywhere near football, certainly not at our level, it's far too risky. There are far safer places for their money with much better returns.

The only reason Rupp invested was because he was seduced by Rahic's sales talk. The only other reason to invest in us would be because he's a fan and that isn't the case. Perhaps we can turn his blood claret and amber over time?

I suspect all will be quiet, on the transfer front - More a case of a gentle warming up session, and 'getting to know you' from the attending players.
I expect Bowyer to quickly instil/coach the 'game' he want's to play, with any further signings coming later in the week.

 

No, no hypocrisy at all. Some people are comfortable in places with alcohol and some people are not.

 

Only recently worked at an asian guys house. He owns a restaurant that serves alcohol. The asian guy working in the petrol garage nearby took offence to it, the restaurant owner told him to mind his own f**king business. Depends if your world revolves around looking to be offended.

That midfield is so god damn weak! It's embarrassing bad!

I would of liked a midfielder in before pre season started but no worries sure we will sign one or 2 soon.

 

Joe Ledley would be an unreal signing, a proper hard bastard no nonsense leader in midfield. However, he's only 32 so I'd be surprised if he dropped to league 2 when he's still got a few years left.
