Just a thought about the transfer policy. Hasn't anyone noticed that the areas they've looked at first, down the left and a right back as well as beginning to boost the backline. Areas of concern for many last season.

In other words there seems a logic to the way they are going about any business in getting the areas of most concern attended to first. They may not be getting who you want but obviously had a similar view to yourselves in the team and it's needs. Also in fairly early it isn't even the end of June scramble yet.

So I quite like the signs of a methodical approach.

 

I think with more game time Hiwula would score more goals and I would have him back. However...he needs to be playing with players who can see a pass. I have said this many times on this board. Hiwula ( and to a lesser extent McNulty) became increasingly frustrated. Every game both both would make runs beyond the defence and into space, only to see Law, Cullen et al playing tippy tappy little triangles before running sideways across the pitch to try and find Marshall.
People on here also used to talk about the number of chances Hiwula missed, but we had no-one else in the team with the positional nouse or pace to get anywhere near those chances. I would have him back.....I would also have brought him on at Wembley. Just my opinion of course

We keep him - folk furious we have kept an unhappy player
He signs new deal - folk furious about no stripes on the kit and letting Doyle go
